Nylon (1995)
"NYLON" (also released as "Nylons")
Very well made Adult film (shot on film, not video tape). This Adult film does not center around sex, but someones obsession with women in silky nylon types of lingerie (silky Pantyhose, stockings, bodystockings, etc).
The writer/director Nick Orleans obviously was not out to make an adult video, but a movie. A 'film'.
Veronica Hart won some award for her part as a psychiatrist. (no sex, although she did show her great legs in a sexy outfit which drove her patient crazy!)
The only thing I did not like about this movie was the actor that played the lead- Steven st. Croix. He tried, but he was obviously not right for the part. (my 2 cents).
This adult film has been talked about in college psychology / human sexuality classes, as it shows obsession instead of fetish (even though the movie sometimes does not word it correctly) and a desire for a loving relationship that simply includes this (and how it can nearly take your life away).
Animalympics (1980)
Animalympics
One of my all time favorites.
This is great for kids of all ages AND adults. It has Ice Hockey, Marathon, track, Skiing, bob-sled, ice skating, field events; hammer throw/shot put/poll vault/etc] , Soccer, field hockey, disco dancing, fashion modeling, swimming, gymnastics/horse/u.parallel bars /floor routine, Fencing, Boxing, and more. It also shows great sportsmanship, Love, friendship, honour, diversity of countries, - oh just go get this movie!
The music in it will stay with you.
This movie truly is already a classic. Not because it is 26 years old, but because it is so great and there are no others like it.
I also recommend, "Dot & the Kangaroo" & "Emmett Otter's Jug band Christmas"
Be well fellow humans.
Swept from the Sea (1997)
"Swept from the Sea" - Amazing, you must see this. My 4th favorite film.
"Swept from the Sea" ('Amy Foster') is my 4th or 3rd favorite film of all time. The shortest way I can describe it is: "Amy" has a sad family secret which makes her the 'outcast' of the town. "Yanko" is a Ukrainian that is the sole survivor of his ship wreck. As his language is so odd to the people of Cornwall they just assume that he is dim in the head. (They are both outcasts). Amy Foster feels for him as they are both living in their hard - outcast time and he falls for her. It is so difficult for both of them just get one foot forward in their life or in any sort of a relationship with their yucky surroundings. If you do not feel for this film (these characters) you have no soul. Post Script- Ian McKellan, Kathy Bates & Joss Acklund are fantastic in this movie.
