Harry & Meghan (2022)
Boo hoo fest
I was hoping for more insight to some of the issues H and M had brought up in previous interviews. However, it has been a rehash of the same old complaints. I'm finding them both to extremely tiresome and obsessed with themselves. It would be in all of our best interest to stop feeding their egos and move on to more interesting stories and world issues.
If I see more about M and the letter she wrote in school or about how M never knew how to curtsy or didn't know anything about the royal family I will scream. This has been proven wrong by previous stories showing she wrote about them on her defunct blog.
H and M need to seek therapy to cure themselves of their narcissistic needs and behaviors.
Ice Castles (1978)
Sappy but a good watch
You can definitely consider this film sappy or an early Hallmark movie wannabe. However, this sweet inspiring story is a good watch. A romance, some drama, and overcoming an incredible obstacle makes for a great rainy day movie.
Stay Close (2021)
Mediocre at best
Great talent but I don't know what the writers were thinking. So many things just didn't make sense. I didn't read the book so I'm not quite sure how the screenplay compares. Lots of holes in the plot and just some unbelievable moments. It's okay but don't compare it to The Five, Safe, or The Stranger.
Malignant (2021)
Good for a laugh
The acting was B level. The story was a D+, maybe. Watched with friends and we laughed throughout the whole movie. If you want to watch a bad horror movie, look no further.
Motel Makeover (2021)
Can't make it through the first episode
What is it with the middle school girls? The rising inflection at the end of every sentence. I love makeover shows but I can't do this one unless input it on mute.
Color Out of Space (2019)
Don't bother
Just horrible. Nicolas Cage has sunk to a new low. The rest of the cast just rides along and doesn't make any impact. The story has too many wholes to figure out what is going on.
Just skip it.
Castle Rock (2018)
Spellbound then kinda letdown.
I was hooked from the beginning. I binged and couldn't get certain moments out of my head. The characters are greatly flawed and very real. It had the Stephen King feel I love and the actors played their characters to perfection.
The ending. That has me perplexed. But I'm trying to keep an open mind since I realize that this will have another season to hopefully answer the many questions it leaves behind.
Given (2016)
A visually stunning adventure
I could not look away. An amazing movie that follows this extraordinary family. The narration and the cinematography just captivated you. Highly recommended.
