Sophie's Rules (2023)
Heartfelt film
This uplifting film captured my attention soon after its slow start. Elements of the film that stood out and felt rewarding is the head of the household although stern had a genuine heart of gold trying to help this mixed group of people who otherwise would not be in the same environment.
Diverse experiences brought them together, life's hardships. Illness, addictions, fears, loss, despair, depression and it all felt like they had a chance to feel better , to do better. Enjoyed the direction the film took, it had a raw feel but a good feel. Actresses and actors- well done. IMO this would make a good series. Many layers to the stories, would be nice to see more. These types of stories need some exposure, people helping people.
John Wick (2014)
love this!
A man with a mission when done wrong. Keanu as John Wick, the brooding, non sensical, man of few words, could do no wrong. Even though he certainly does. Love him in both John Wick and can't wait to see the third installment. He totally rocks!!!
The Lurking Man (2017)
Hearts in eyes, loved it!
First of all, I LOVE Horror movies, my fave genre of all films (horror rom/com would be totally awesome)
Kick in the suspense of The Lurking Man, you had my attention at the get go. Totally loved the beginning how the actors and the editor (sound & picture) made a strong pom pom feeling. The protagonist popped as though she was being revived
Drew me in, in a big way. Great work from all involved'
I felt fear in a good way, yet felt real sad for her... All the actors in this indie film rocked. Cailean and Deaths make up was so cool! Would love a part two, to see Chilean as the Angel of Death.
