Copy paste action flick
22 September 2023
It's extremely difficult to write 600 characters about this so called movie. Just take 10 minutes of one of the action scenes and copy it 20 times so you could bore the watchers to death! What was the purpose of the producers, script writers and the director to spend so much time and money for this thrash? Was there anything plausible in this so called movie? John Wick I was ok within its fiction universe of assassins and mobs etc. And somehow watchable action scenes. However what could we say about this repetitive misery of extreme exaggeration of a character who could not be harmed under any condition? Take Mr. Wick as the next generation Terminator...Maybe.

Exaggerated to the limits
30 August 2023
Script has some loopholes as the movie unfolds with unprofessional combat practices. In Afghanistan considering the huge resources of the US Army, sending a group of soldiers to long distance operations without air support and drone surveillance seems implausible. Most of the times the team of the Sergeant are left as easy targets and vulnerable. But they are always sharp shooters whatever the conditions are. Other than these loopholes characters and acting are good. Art direction and photography are professional. As the invasion of Afghanistan is concerned in reality the good and the evil are not clearly and easily distinguishable considering the thousands of children killed by reckless bombings there. I can't say there's an impartial objective approach.

The Worst Peace is Better than the War
31 October 2022
A great movie covering the bunker battles of the WWI. Every aspect of the movie including the art direction, sound mixing, sound editing, scene shots, directing and cast are the first class. Easily absorbing the audience into the misery and the tragedy of the never ending bunker fights of the WWI. At the end of the movie it's hard to return to the real world for a couple of hours. It's an agony to watch how easily human lives are wasted and perished. One of the best war movies I've ever watched. I hope any conflict we live today would end peacefully before too many innocent lives are lost and history does not repeat itself.

Marketing Poison is Free Here.

How could the most powerful, resourceful nation in history could be so silly to let such a heinous crime has been executed for such a long time unchecked by many authorities? How could an ordinary pain lead to addiction of mass scale without the interference of the regulators or alarming thousands of medicine practitioners? What kind of corruption could cause killing 400.000 people? A must see documentary kind of serial directed and played very well. I'm still deeply frustrated days after watching and keep cursing every institution obliged to regulate the pharmaceutical industry. FDA is a joke, not to be trusted and everyone should be aware this fact!

Things Have Not Changed
22 June 2022
The pace of the movie, exquisite directing, excellent photography, masterful acting all serve to creation of an art piece. Once again we witness nothing has changed in the survival kit of the American jungle. Expression of senses, depth of characters, genuine depiction of a hard life all absorb the audience if you like such slow paced movies. Francis McDormand's outstanding performance deserves watching.

Enjoyable movie with too many CGIs
20 June 2022
Fast paced dialogues and scenes with too many CGIs. Good acting but it's hard to feel the atmosphere because of the absurdities. Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark will remain as the icon of such movies for a long time.

Fast break from street basketball to NBA
13 June 2022
Script, actors and directing are all well above average. Adam Sandler has become a subtle character player as he gets older. Well detailed depiction of the professional way of conduct and cut throat competition in the NBA. You'll feel good after watching this family movie...

The Predators in some other form...

Hunting a running men theme were studied many times by Hollywood. This is one of the least plausible ones. An urban setting with some ordinary legally accountable hunters has no logic at all. Good players save the day.

Poor script, good settings
26 May 2022
Could be a good remake of A Good Year if the writers filled the loopholes in the script. Where's Toscana? Do you know where Parmigiano Reggiano is produced? How come a famous chef could be unaware of what's going on in Italy and its depth of gastronomy? Why do you need a fast paced love story? Exaggerated father issues of the protagonist etc.

A matured work from Cem Yilmaz
20 May 2022
Finally Cem Yilmaz found his ideal pace with maximum 50-60 minute movies. Duration fits perfectly to watchers limited time of focus to machinegun-like witty jokes of Yilmaz. Art direction, players, sound mixing are all well above the average. Better watch this alone. Not a family movie!

You ruined everything about Dexter

The cool, intelligent, talented and versatile hero of years has been swept down the drain with a poorly written episode. There's no logic in this script and gives a bad taste in the mouth still hours after I finished watching. Absolutely a disappointing ending episode and an insult to Dexter lovers.

Tom Cruise should have gotten his first Oscar with this movie
17 March 2021
Recently I watched for the second time. A first class depiction of the Vietnam War era. Tom Cruise starred as Ron Covic. Character developments were masterful as father, mother, friends, brothers and sisters etc. Very good job done by Oliver Stone.

Absorbing in a complicated way...
10 August 2020
With the help of the internet exploration I could grasp the details of this intriguing movie much better in my second viewing. Young Naomi Watts was so successful in two different characters she surely deserved an Oscar with this movie. David Lynch skillfully crafts his art piece of spider web with many references to the real life Hollywood. Like all great story tellers this movie deserves multiple viewings through your life. A must see movie before you die.

I don't care about the The Dark Tower books
17 June 2020
I'm not a fan of Stephen King and I haven't read the Dark Tower Books. I didn't know it was an S.King adaptation. If I could evaluate the movie as its own qualities it's nonsense that it deserves less than 6 stars. Scenes, actors, art direction, editing, sound mixing all were first class. What was missing was the quality and consistence of a sold script which stems from the imagination of Mr. King. I enjoyed this as a typical science fiction action movie.

A very good movie...
4 June 2020
I watched this movie randomly on my TV. Think that underrated in IMDB. Very good players, exceptional scenes and shots, very good art direction and realistic script with a history lesson of Irish tragedy of 19th Century. I strongly recommend this movie.

Realistic as hell.
14 May 2020
By far the best 2nd WW movie.Scenes are so realistic that you're absorbed into the battlefield as if you were there. Excellent sound mixing and editing. Great character development. Another masterpiece from Spielberg that deserves an obvious 10/10.

Could be much better...
14 April 2020
What is missing is a plausible plot. The buddies looking for a weekend escape from their boring city life to a wellness spa could be quite interesting with some unfolding twists and strong players. But a spaceship and cliche American intervention with B class players, shallow and cheesy progress pushed the movie to a different lower category. Waste of money and time and other resources like some good players.

Best movie made by Cem Yilmaz
13 April 2020
Very good shots, character development, story telling and set design. By far the best movie of Cem Yilmaz as various aspects are concerned. Good depiction of the Faustian bargains we make each day as we try to meander the tough rules of the work life.

A credibility issue
5 April 2020
I could not quite grasp the idea of the movie because of the inconsistent characters. Very intelligent and resourceful Kim family living in the extreme poverty seems the weak point of the script. Unfolding of the events push the credibility of the movie to the level of cartoons watched by the kids. Watchable but not an Oscar movie in my opinion.

Like a great documentation movie educates the audience about the media, business relations and the politics smartly. Character developments are detailed and refined. The performance of Mr. Crowe is exceptional.

What's the point of spending so much money and time for a kids' story? I don't know what kind of adults might be watching such shallow fiction movies anymore. Half an hour is more than enough for this...

Excellent production design and art direction.
18 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Creates a credible long distance spaceship travel atmosphere of a distant future. Very good acting from four matured lead actors. Set decoration, production design and art direction are excellent. Intelligent script with some philosophical analysis. Right passenger-Chris Pratt is chosen to wake up to mend the spaceship by the system somehow.
