Law & Order (1990)
More data
The 2004 - 2005 season sees the departure of Serena Southerland [ Elizabeth Rohm }. We find out when she is fired by Arthur Branch that her character is a lesbian. She's replaced by Annie Parisse as Alexandra Borgia. The 2005 - 2006 season sees Parisse's character brutally murdered. The season ends on a cliffhanger, In the 2006 - 2007 season, Dennis Farina's Fontana character leaves [ with no explanation ] and Jesse L. Martin's character, Ed Green, gets a new partner, a rookie named Nina Cassady, played by Mllena Govich. Alana de la Garza joins the cast as ADA Connie Rubirosa, replacing Parisse. Late in 2007, Fred Dalton Thompson announced he was seeking the office of President of the United States [ he had been in politics prior to acting ] and it was wondered who would replace him. Ultimately, it was decided to promote Jack McCoy to DA at long last. This left a spot vacant, so Linus Roache was brought in as new ADA Michael Cutler. Poor Ed Green gets yet ANOTHER new partner, Detective Cyrus Lupo, played by Jeremy Sisto.
Due to many circumstances [ including a writer's strike ] the 18th season didn't premiere until January 2008.
BTW - Mike Logan's character has returned in "Law & Order:CI" [ currently partnered with Alicia Witt ] and S. Epatha Merkeson's character is Anita van Buren.
Batman Beyond (1999)
Interesting Notes
While Bob Kane created [ or rather, CO-created Batman - Bill Finger deserves credit ] he had NO role in the creation of this series.
It is the work of Paul Dini, with designs by Canadian comic book artist Darwyn Cooke [ The New Frontier, Catwoman ], who actually worked on this BEFORE he broke into comics.
Will Friedle [ Terry ] is also the voice of Ron Stoppable on the Disney show KIM POSSIBLE. In one obviously-intended in-joke episode "The Fearless Ferret", Ron takes over the role of the "Fearless Ferret", a retired crime-fighter. He is played by Adam West, the whole thing is a spoof of the 60's Batman, but also an in-joke of Friedle replacing "Batman" again. I won't spoil the rest of it if you haven't seen the episode, and if not, why AREN'T you watching KP? Incidentally, Terry / Batman shows up in a few episodes of JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED, somewhat older. It gives some resolution to his life and has a few twists.
Hope this helped a few of you out.
History Bites (1998)
Additional comments
This show is now running on two networks in Canada, the History Channel and the Comedy network. The episodes running on the History Channel are the original episodes from 1998, although later episodes may crop up later.
A few pieces of interesting trivia for fans of the show. It was created by Rick Green, who co-created [ and guest-stars in ] The Red Green show. Steve Smith's [ Red Green ] company produced the show.
One episode I was watching earlier today seemed to feature an appearance by Jessica Holmes, before she starred in her own series and in Air Farce. Has anyone else seen this episode to confirm it?
