Murder, She Wrote: Death 'N Denial (1995)
Another White-Washed Episode
I am arguably one of the biggest fans of MSW. Ok I said arguably! So it pains me when this jet-setting Dame. Travels to Cairo and we're surrounded by white faces. Bad bad bad! I appreciate the shows inclusion of diverse lands, cultures, and peoples but do it right! And we can see glimpses of the authentic Egyptian culture present. But the shading and coloring of certain characters is just utterly ridiculous! The accents are an abomination to all the hard work done by countless actors who actually take up dialect training so at least they come across authentic!!!! But I forgive her. She was a queen of the silver screen, stage, and beyond.
Murder, She Wrote: Time to Die (1994)
Time to Fast Forward
Go ahead and hit the fast forward on this little number darlin! Love love love Jessica Beatrice Fletcher. Yet this episode was wack jacked and booted! Not sure whose genius idea it was to come up with this completely unbelievable story line. The part with her teaching in the beginning is fair and swell. But are we really meant to believe that the Dame of England would be at some crotchety hole in the wall bar-club. Then she was slow dancing and doing the waltz at the club too? Lol no people. This won't do. I wish the writers would have dug deeper on some of the story plots later in the seasons of Murder She Wrote. There's only so much we can pretend!!!
Murder, She Wrote: Bite the Big Apple (1991)
Welcome back Seth
I was so happy when season 8 rolled out. It meant an end to those silly episodes where Jessica was telling a story and having someone else lead the show. I was never a van of Stanton or Hagerty. I was glad and later moved back to Cabot Cove. My and other super fans enjoy the Cabot Cove episodes the best. One of my criticisms from season 8 is the show's letting go of Ahmed the apartment building m's doorman. He was fantastic in that roll. They replaced him with some fat white man. I found that telling and disappointing. Another neat detail of season 8 is the opening credits have new scenes added. So enjoy season 8. This is also the only season to have a Christmas themed episode which was really endearing.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
It Sucks!
Misses the mark. Lost direction. Stupid stupid stupid. Season ones early episodes showed promise like the adventures of LOTR or GOT. But they get lost and the story takes a stupid turn in the most idiot direction and instead of turning around and correcting this they keep heading in the wrong direction and try to make a series out of this nonsense. The red woman looks ill and twisted yet their suppose to be the sisters or Al sedi. "The dragon" plays the reluctant hero and the arrogant lunatic? What's the point here?? ??? Oh and the blue sedi has her power taken??? What is this nonsense and why did I watch it!
Murder, She Wrote: Death Takes a Curtain Call (1984)
Good riddance to Claude Atkins
Ugh. Claude was so unworthy of JB Fletcher and I'm glad they cut him after this episode. Her and Seth had a magic together and Amos. That Claude jerk thought he was too good to play second to a woman. Haha serves him right he never played in anything worthwhile since his death. This was probably my least favorite episode in season one. I can barely handle the abysmal Russian accents. I kid you not it's nearly impossible to listen. It's like nails on a chalk board! It would be a pretty good show if it wasn't for that and the abominable Captain. Jessica is beginning to hit her stride with the show.
Diagnosis Murder (1993)
This series sucks
I'm not a fan of Dic. I bought the dvds on a whim after buying murder she wrote which I absolutely love. For some reason dic thinks he's funny and it's like barf! The cut two great characters from the show because corny dic thought they were competing with his comedy routine. Then his weirdo son with his hideous hair, going from brown to blonde, blonde and brown and is as equally corny as his father. The first two seasons were at least watchable but then season 3 was just impossible to continuing watching. All of a sudden their living at the beach and dumb dick is running the crappy comedy hour routine. I'm selling the dvds on eBay.
A League of Their Own (2022)
"I wanted the waters to be blue, but they were black"-
I saw this series being advertised on prime and was instantly excited. As a black woman I Love the cultural feels the show provides during the glimpses into Max's life. The significance of the black church and family engagement brings on just enough nostalgia. But the main character is just the worst! Where did they even find this actress? It became to much to endure to sit through her scenes.
Murder, She Wrote: Night of the Tarantula (1989)
Shameful!
I absolutely LOVE MSW and watch it several times a week. However this episode is a travesty! Casting a Caucasian for a Biracial persons role is SHAMEFUL!
