Why so many haters?

I'll explain to you folks in a simple way: racism and bias!

Although the series is not perfect, I can assure it is beautifully executed, the action really good (specially from Kamala), the score trully amazing...

I understand if you say that you don't like the character or so (like I don't emphatize with some MCU characters as well), but I don't understand the hate.

I can only assume that the bad reviews are because she is a FEMALE, BROWN and MUSLIM.

Some will say that Disney is wrong in including controversial themes like the Partition of India, but I strongly disagree - in fact, this series mande me curios about the theme and I've been reading about it since.

Don't let youserf be influenced by the bad reviews of some men in their 40's - give the series a chance and you will see all the effort they put in it.

The Batman (2022)

A honest review from a Batman fan!

Everybody is saying this film is better than "The Dark Knight". Is it true? Honestly, I think it's really hard to compare both films - let me tell you why: diferent directros, diferent styles. Here is my impressions:

Good points:

• Acting was superb, Pattinson and Kravitz had chemistry. Colin Farrell was also something to notice;
• Cinematography! Felt like a real Gotham City - dark as should be. You can see Reeves' style printed in every scene;
• Sounding. Mixage and soundtrack was really good, although could be more striking in some scenes;
• Detective. Batman as it is in the comics - more a detective, less a playboy with fancy toys.

Bad points:

• Runtime. I like long movies, don't get me wrong - but after 2 hours the film strugles to keep on pace;
• Script. It is not bad, don't get me wrong again - but seems that they wanted to throw too much stuff in just one film, and I felt some characters could be left to star in another films as they couldn't focus on only one villain.

That said, I would recommend the film.

The White Lotus (2021–2025)

Good first season!

I didn't have high expectations for this series, but I confess I really enjoyed it! The characters are easily relatable, and the acting is very convincing - special attention to Murray Bartlett, Jake Lacy, Sydney Sweeney and Steve Zahn - although the other actors were very good too. The original sountrack was also something to notice.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

DON'T watch the 2h32m version! Watch the Extented instead!

If you are lazy to read the entire review, just read this: 31 minutes of footage makes a HUGE difference in the film/storyline.

To be honest, I was not so impressed when I saw the first cut (2h32m) as I got the impression that the story was rushed and confused... but then I watched the extended version and it all made sense, the added details matter a lot!

If you like me thought that this filme was not good, I say this to you: give it a try, but watch the extended one. If possible, watch it in IMAX and I'm sure your experience will be different!

One more thing... if you recently watched the Snyder Cut, BvS will make even more sense now - trust me.

Rating 8/10 for the extended version (6/10 for the 2h32m cut).

Mission: Impossible (1996)

Mediocre movie, poorly developed plot

How can anyone say this is a clever movie? There are two films which are hard to understand: the ones with really interesting and complex plots (like Bourne Series or Tenet) and the ones which are poorly written and directed: MI-1 is the second case. To be honest, this looks like a B-movie. Ok, it has some good action scenes, but that's all. I enjoy the MI series as a whole and thanks God they started to hire good directors for the sequences. It's nice to see how the series has evolved.

Tenet (2020)

Rushed pace, but a masterpiece

Compared to other films directed by Nolan, I felt this one was a little rushed... nevertheless, I understand that was also his ideia to make the public think a little more and not just enjoy an entertainment. The action was really good, and the soundtrack too. If you gave this filme a score less than 7/8, please watch it again - and pay attention to the details!

Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)

it's not a perfect movie, but it's good entertainment

I really don't understand why people dislike so much this film. Although we know its flaws - like the plot being very similar to Gladiator or Bale's not so convincing acting -, it is always a film that I watch when is on TV. The production is great and the film pace keeps you enterntained for the whole movie. Bottom line: don't just go watch the film based on the very bad or very good reviews (in fact, be aware of film reviews that says the films are "horrible" or "wonderful") - it is not the best film directed by Ridley Scott, but for sure it deserved a better score in IMDB.
