Morangos com Açúcar (2003–2012)

This series was very overrated

Morangos com Açucar was a Portuguese series for teenagers and childreen that gave from Monday to Friday in the evenings on TVI. This series followed a group of teenagers and their love, school, or parenting problems. In each season there was always the season of school grade that passed during the school year and the summer vacation series, which gave during the summer.

This series marked my childhood and adolescence, I saw from season 2 to 8, that is, from my 8 to 15 and always thought it was fantastic and best series ever. Now almost 10 years after it was over, as I watched the replays that go on at Panda Biggs (it's now the 6th summer season), my opinion couldn't be more different and completely contrary to what it was when I was little.

The series is very cringe and most of the young actors didn't know how to perform, it all seemed very forced and unnatural (although here I even give them a discount because it was the first experience of many in the performance and some of them later succeeded in the world of representation). Everyone was very melodramatic and thought she was the owner of the breed, especially with her parents, because they are all poor things and they have the worst parents. At that time I thought it was an injustice for parents not to let them out or something, now I feel like giving a couple of pops to the annoying kids, who deep down are too much spoiled.

This series marked a generation, that is true, but it was certainly made for the younger layers because now as an adult I see how the series was not good, not even at close range.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005 Video Game)

Harry Potter is alive in this fantastic game

I had a great time playing this game. It is a good game and it is realy like the main history of the movie with the same title Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The main goal is collect beans and explore through the castle and forest and make spells like "Galinhus" and "Wingardium Leviosa" to destroy creatures to progress in the game. When we are exploring we can play in a two player mode and we can choose between Harry, Ron and Hermione. The only time when is need just one player we need to play with Harry and was during the levels of the tasks of the tournment. I really likes the last level that was a final battle with Lord Voldmort and he says to Harry: "Now you dont have your mother to save you" and "I want to see the lights abandonad your eyes" but Harry wins in the last moment.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)

The beginning of a magical journey

Harry Potter is a child left at the door of his uncles' house after the early death of his parents by a bearded old man, a small giant and a cat woman when he was just a baby. He is a green-eyed boy who wears split glasses and has messy black hair. He also had a special feature, a ray-shaped scar on his forehead. The uncles hated him and treated him very badly. He slept in a cupboard under the stairs and was constantly badly treated by his fat cousin. One day they went to the zoo and Harry trying to talk to a snake made the glass disappear without knowing how.

A few days before his 11th birthday Harry begins to receive mesterial letters brought by owls. The bad uncles do not let him receive the mail, and in one that the house fills with letters, the uncle picks up everybody and flees to an island and they spend the night in a tent. The next day will be Harry's birthday and at midnight a very tall man will break the door and say harry your a wizrd and take the boy with him. Before, he still gives the cousin a pig's tail for trying to steal the cake he brought to Harry.

The man tells Harry everything he did not know, that he was a wizard and would study at the best school in the world, hogwarts, for boys like him. He takes him to the witch market to buy material and a wand where we learn that the wand chooses the wizard and harry was chosen by the sorcerer's wand that killed his parents and tried to kill him but he failed and no one saw him again. That's why harry is famous in the wizarding world, because he escaped one of the greatest dark sorcerers of all time and survived with only that ray-shaped scar on his forehead. That man was Voldmort but everyone was afraid to say his name and only called him you know who or the one that shall not be named.

When he goes to try on the robes he meets his future nemesis. A blond good looking boy with pure blood family that was not very nice. Next they go to the Gringotts bank and Harry discovers that he is rich and his parents left him a huge fortune. They also went to another vault, where Hagrid, the little giant, had to fetch a special package at the request of Dumbledore, who according to Hagrid was the greatest sorcerer who had ever existed and was also the director of the school of magic. Hagrid also comments that only a fool would assault the bank, as it was very safe.

Hagrid leaves Harry at Kings Cross station alone and tells him to take the 9 3/4 platform. Harry does not find this platform, but notices a large family running against a pillar and disappears through it. The mother of the family understands the boy's confusion and helps him. Harry runs against the pillar and quickly crosses to the other side, where he arrives at a new station, where there was red train ready to take him to school. He packs his luggage and goes inside, where he sits in an empty compartment. Shortly afterwards, the youngest boy of the family who has helped him arrives and asks to sit there while Harry nods. His name was Ron Weasley. And as his family he was a red head. Harry also buys all the candy of the candy lady and share wiith his new friend.

Cory in the House (2007–2008)

I remember watching this anime for the first time and thinking it would be garbage just like the majority of other spin-offs. It didn't, however, take me much time to realize how wrong I was. Just by the opening song, I've seen myself in front of a masterpiece. The actor who plays Cory is incredibly multifaceted, and besides being an amazing actor, is also a rapper of the highest level, worthy of being compared to artists like Tupac or Eminem.

In short, Cory in the House is a spin-off of the old Disney series That so Raven. At this time, Raven's youngest brother Cory will move to the White House with his dear father who got a job as a cook. There he has the opportunity to meet the president of the United States of America and his little annoying daughter Sophie. Cory, as an extremely gifted guy, quickly develops a friendship with the president, but would start to use him to meddle in the White House policies to implement his political agenda. The Russians, knowing the giant influence of Cory in the White House and his genius ideas to boost the American economy, will try to eliminate him.

In the White House, Cory will also meet and become a friend of PJ from Good Luck Charlie. They will form a band, something that will regularly piss off the president, who is certainly looking for a calmer environment in his workplace. Cory will, as well, fall in love with a girl, and as a very confident guy, largely due to being extremely attractive, will not hesitate to ask her for a date. She, obviously, said yes and they eventually get married.

Cory can be described as a very outgoing person as it can be shown by all the parties he hosts every weekend. Till this day no one has ever rejected an invitation to them as he always gives the best ones of DC.

What more can I say? I would, easily, place it as one of the best animes I ever watched. I can't thank enough the person who came with the idea of creating this because this is one of the best things ever created by a human being. And after finishing all the episodes, I am left with a big smile because I think we should smile because it happened instead of crying because it's over. I am glad Cory in the House appeared in my life, and hope that one day someone creates a spin-off for this anime, now with Cory as the president of the United States, just like Raven have predicted in her show.

Seed of Chucky (2004)

Terrifying

I watched this movie at midnight during a super moon and I was terrified. From that day on, I have nightmares about Chucky, where he wants to kill me.

LazyTown (2002–2014)

If there is a show I should thank for the positive contribution to my life, it is certainly Lazy Town. When I was a little child I was a total fat idiot who liked to eat hamburgers and fries all day without worrying about health. I played video games for the whole day and would never exercise. However, from the moment this series came into my life I realized how screwed up my life was. Sportacus and Estufada severely improved my life habits. I wanted to be just like Sportacus and be able to do those acrobatic jumps and drive an airship. Neither of them came true yet but a thing I learned with them without forgetting till this day was their healthy diet. I am now a very healthy person, largely, because of them. I also want to remember the actor who made Robbie Rotten, who passed away one year ago. Rest in Peace Stefán Karl Stefánsson.

The Little Cars: Rodopolis Adventures (2007 Video)

Second one is good as the first one, but not very good again

Once again, Vídeo Brinquedo has surprised us all with a great movie of Carrinhos and with that, the strange feeling that I have seen this movie somewhere came back again. At the same time, I have to admit, I have never seen a movie like this in my whole life. In this second adventure, Tony and his friends return to do races and learn important things.

Stitch! (2008–2015)

I don't know who had the idea of doing a Stitch anime but I definitely hate that person. What was he thinking? It is horrendous and takes away all the essence of the previous animation that was about the friendship of Stitch with Lilo, not with this new girl. In addition, we all learned that Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Stitch would never leave Lilo. I don't even know why Disney gave permission to anyone to do this. I'm just wondering why.

Noddy, Toyland Detective (2016–2020)

This is not Noddy

You can call this series anything but Noddy. This is not Noddy nor will it ever be. They took the essence of the original series and all the characters are different, except for Noddy, Big Ears and the dog. Too bad a series as good as Noddy has turned out. Poor children of today who will never know the difference and only know this new version. I can tell you that I fell asleep to see this new Noddy, so boring he is.

The Adventures of Marco & Gina (2002– )

Bakers must be respected

Marco is a baker pigeon and Gina, a dove, is the lady-of-company of the duke's sister, a fat chicken named Ardélia. The duke is responsible for protecting a jewel known as Kuhang which Count Igor wishes to steal. With the help of his friend Gina, Marco will try to keep Kuhang safe from Count Igor. I was surprised by this show. I wasn't expecting it to be this good but it is actually pretty amazing! I recommend it to everyone, specially if you bake for a living.

UEFA Euro 2016 (2016)

Best European Football Championship Ever

2016 was the best year ever for Portuguese football. They won the tournament against France, and the French were the home team. It was amazing! The first great trophy for Portugal and for Cristiano Ronaldo as a Portuguese player. And not forget EDER the Hero! The one who scored the only goal of the final to make us champions. Eder is our HERO! He was criticized by everyone but his determination was essencial for the portuguese win! He might not be a very talented player but he does not lack passion for his nation. Other players like Rui Patrício, Pepe or Nani also deserve to be mentioned because they were fantastic!

Jungle Junction (2009– )

Best animation series ever made

I have no words to describe what this series means to me. It marked my childhood and life in an unbelievable way. I was very young when I saw this for the first time but that pink little pig, that big fat elephant and its friends gave a new meaning to my life. They taught me to never give up and always believe in myself because if we don't get it at first, there will be a certain time, we will reach it if we try. They also taught me how to give it gas, give it gas so you would not stop. Then give him gas, let's speed it up.

Speaking now technically, the show was very good. From the drawing, the color, the animation to the story, everything was great. Each episode had its own plot and problems to solve. Similar to Dora the Explorer, questions we had to answer were asked in an interactive way. Episodes that I liked the most were the "Duda Fruit", the "Magic Bule" and the "Ellyvan Babysitter", where he says the famous phrase: "Beetlebugs, I want you have fun, but sometimes I have to say no, No". The songs were very good, all of them. And good they replaced the tuneless.

I liked both two seasons and I wish they did more. The plot of the third one could focus on the mystery of Carla, who disappeared without a trace during the second season. I wonder to this day where she is. What happened to her? Did she get stuck in the sap forever? Or did she eat the fruit that makes you fly?

Shrek 2 (2004)

Even better than the first one!

When I watched Shrek's first movie, I thought nothing could surpass it. But, apparently, I was totally wrong! This one is even better. Great lessons can be learned just by watching this masterpiece. You will leave the theatre with a different view of the world compared to the one you had when you entered. It is mindblowing! I totally recommend everyone to watch it at least once in their lives. Being alive and not watch this film is like going to Vatican City and not see the pope.

Shrek (2001)

Best movie ever!

I'm only giving a 10 because I cannot give a bigger number. Shrek is a perfect movie, probably the best ever made. There is not much more to say. I recomend everyone to watch and enjoy because I'm sure you'll have the best hour and a half of your life. After that, thank God for being alive and for giving you the chance to see this wonderful movie.

The Little Cars in the Great Race (2006 Video)

Good, but not very good

While watching this movie, I felt the strange sensation I had already seen it somewhere but, at the same time, it made me feel something I've never felt before. The characters are all amazing, especially Tony Tunado, a race car who has the dream of winning the Great Race. He is a very humble guy, a great role model for our children. With this film, I think Vídeo Brinquedo confirmed his status as one of the main rivals of Pixar. This pleasant movie makes us appreciate friendship and can help children become less selfish and gain more responsibilities such as driving with caution when they grow up.

Birdemic 2: The Resurrection (2013)

Not so good as the first one

I asked for a second one and they eared me. I'm beyond happy. Well, it could be better, much much better. The first one was great and this one is not so good. Is practically the same thing, the same history and makes no sense, the birds return and just leave for no real reason. Although I liked the two main cast came back they killed the lovely little girl and the boy was there for one scene in the museum of natural history and not contributes nothing for the history, they didn't care anything about him, its really sad. It was so stupid. I laughed a lot in the first one, was really hilarious, that birds oh man, masterpiece, phenomenal. They really knew to made that birds. So realistic. This one too but they could improved the birds. So it was good, but not as good as the first one. And they shoulded care more about family I hope if there is a 3 one it will be better as the 1 one or more. I love the birdemic series.

Inspetor Max (2017– )

Max is Good

This series tells the story of Max, a police dog that solves crimes. I do not usually like police series, but this one has something special. Inspector Jorge, who has a captivating personality, is the owner of Max. The children are very good actors, especially the fattest kid whom I can't remember the name right now. Ruy de Carvalho, one of the best Portuguese actors ever, adds exprience and is one of the keys for the success of this show. The other inspectors are also very good, with the exception of Sergio who I consider to be very annoying. However, the actor who plays Jaime is spectacular, and I sincerely can't name many actors better than him in the whole world. I was also happy not to see the journalist who appeared in the first season, because she wasn't intersting and add nothing to the series. In short, it's a good series that could be better without Sergio.

Bem-Vindos a Beirais (2013–2016)

Absolutely fantastic!

If you want to have a good time and laugh together with your friends and family, this series is for you! It perfectly portrays how life is in a village. It made me feel nostalgic of the summers passed on the village of my beloved grandmother when I was a child. Some episodes made me cry because of that. The actors are formidable, especially José Carlos Pereira, who if was not Portuguese would have already won an Oscar. For those who want to review this beautiful series, it is passing again in our beloved RTP Memória, which passes the old things and shows to the young people what were quality programs.

A Única Mulher (2015–2017)

Brillant

Luis Miguel shows us how it is possible to survive catastrophes, like bomb explosions or plane crashes. This soap opera is incredible and makes us believe everything is possible and love can overcome all barriers. Luis Miguel and Mara is the best couple ever seen in a Portuguese soap opera. The scene of the Mara clones where Mina appears in a hospital bed is brilliant and shows how cruel the human being is, but in the end love wins and Luis Miguel manages to save Mara from the clutches of Mina. I advise everyone to see. Just a warning, you will cry a lot. This show is very exciting and unfit for the heart. But don't be sad because there are also comedy scenes, some of them tremendously funny and hilarious. The actors are amazing and very well chosen. They have done a tremendous job. To conclude, I think this experience was very positive and hope that one day this story continues with the daughters of Mara and Luis Miguel already grown.

Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning (2018 Video Game)

Baldi the king of math

I think this is obvious: Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning is not a masterpiece. But if there's anything this game can prove to us is how much outdated are the current teaching methods. We are in the presence of an educational game that can help children learn mathematics and improve their discipline through Baldi's brilliant approach which gives students the necessary enthusiasm to study mathematics. I wish I had a teacher as good as him when I was a child. Maybe I wouldn't be that bad at math today.

Captain Tsubasa J (1994–1995)

I always wanted to be like Oliver Tsubasa

Oliver has always been my idol since I was little. It was thanks to him that I learned how to make up shots. However, this series is not very realistic. A game takes almost four episodes and they take a long time to go from goal to goal. They also have superhuman abilities like "Falcon Shot" and "The Infernal Catapult". Even so is one of the best animes I've ever seen.

Casper and The Ghostly Trio (2007 Video Game)

I know Blast is known to have published some of the worst games ever made, but I always thought this one was a lot of fun. The only criticism I can give is the existence of a two-player mode that obviously goes against the essence of the movie which is literally called '' Home Alone ''.
