Enjoyable

Really enjoyable and a fun storyline. Watching a PTSD Obi Wan has been fab. I don't know why people are complaining about the show. It's SIGNIFICANLY better than Mandalorian Season 1 and Boba Fett.

Simply...the best comedy of all time

Larry David is incredible. Whether it is in Season 1 or 11, the level consistency of this show is kind of remarkable.

Every episode feels like it could be a stand alone theatrical performance.

JUST KEEP WATCHING!

I was a little concerned after the first couple of episodes but I'm glad I've stuck it out. The show has definitely grown stronger with each episode. The scenery is stunning and while this isn't a scene for page adaptation, they've done a really good job fixing the character weaknesses from the books. The story is defo getting stronger and worth a watch. Not quite the same levels of say GoT but a good watch nonetheless.

Visually awesome but...

No doubt that this is a beautiful movie and I'm not one of those people that will moan about how the book is better (it is, but that's irrelevant) my problem came down to density. This movie has no space to breathe. This would have been an incredible mini-series that could have had a great slow burn and politically intriguing feel that might have challenged the quality of early Game of Thrones, but they tried to do so much in a relatively short period meaning that the whole movie felt a little rushed. This isn't to say this isn't a great movie, it is. But it feels like a wasted opportunity.

I genuinely hate CW...but
27 February 2021
I generally can't stand CW. Boring plot lines, poorly written, very cheesy and poor sense of tone but I was shocked by this show. I watched it on recommendation. I had a lot of trepidation, but within 10mins I was in. Really good casting, excellent tone throughout and a sense of 'realism that CW has really failed to do in the past. It's a very fresh take on saturated genre and overworked superhero and I'm excited to see where this show goes. I suspect it will get chappy after the first season, as usual, but I'm looking forward to this first one.

Uses to be brilliant, but now...

The first season was a brilliant amalgamation of story telling and 80s nostalgia, but it's now become a plainly written mess. Season 2 was weak for a load of reasons, and whilst season 3 was definately an improvement it felt really flat. This is defo a show that needs to end.

A wasted opportunity.

It's not bad, but it isn't great. The jokes felt very hammy and outdated. Moreover, the story feels very dry.

There's also just the issue of the purpose of the show. It's sort of irreverent but never particularly explicit, so a lot of the humour feels a little half-assed. I don't get why they didn't just go for a 'R' rating and go all out.

Maybe the second part will be better, but I seriously doubt I'm going to bother watching any further. I think watching it was a bit of a waste of time.

Overall, the premise is good, execution feels a little lazy.
