Destination Wedding (2018)
What the hell is everybody talking about? It's a great movie.
What the hell is everybody talking about? It's a great movie. It sure has its flaws here and there, but overall is a great film with a good dialogue and good performances.
The Manor (2021)
Not bad, the thing is we've seen it all.
It's not a bad movie. People who love horror will like it, it resembles those 90/00's stories we love, and I think that's the thing, people have seen this, and they want something else. However, it's not bad, it has some good acting and I really liked the turn of events... and also that grandma/grandson dynamic was fun to watch.
Akelarre (2020)
An incredible, true and very needed depiction of the witch
This is an incredible, true and very needed depiction of the witch. Everything, from the story to the acting is just perfect. That last part will hunt mw forever.
Errementari (2017)
It's amazing!
Not for everyone, but an amazing movie for people who love the devil and the history behind it all. Special effects are great, and also are the acting and story. Must give it a try!
The Vigil (2019)
Very good!
Maybe the ending could have been better, but overall it's pretty good. I covered my eyes a couple of times.
Una familia de tantas (1949)
One of the greatest mexican movies!
This movie is pure gold. Beautiful, nerve racking and also quite funny! If you want to get an idea about how things worked in the late 40's, specifically in Mexico city, this movie will show you just that! The figure of the patriarch, the customs, the inequality, and the first breaths of women's liberation in the country.
Renuncia por motivos de salud (1976)
One of the great 70's mexican movies!
This is a magnificent movie. The acting is amazing and the script, made by one of the greatest mexican writers, Josefina Vicens, is just pure greatness. I'm mexican, the corruption our country has been through the years is one of those topics that hurt deeply. This is a great depiction of the abuse of power and corruption in our government, about the never ending hope of our youth and a problem still beating our people more than 40 years later...
Banshee Chapter (2013)
Such a waste of a great idea.
They had a great topic, a great idea, it could have been a great movie. They just ruined it. The acting was terrible, there were a lot of things that didn't make any sense, no attention to detail at all. The low budget isn't the problem, it was just poorly executed. Few scares here and there and a creepy vibe all along, yeah, but not a good movie. It's frustrating though, as a horror lover, I know this could've been a very good one.
The Possession of Michael King (2014)
They wasted a very good idea.
I was really excited to watch this one. The storyline was everything I love in a horror movie. Had a good start, and although it was maybe something we've seen before, it came with some interesting twists and ideas. However, it started and never evolved. I felt something was missing the whole movie, and though it wasn't a bad one, the actors were good and had some clever things here and there, it just didn't make it for me. This was like a waste of a very good idea 🙁🎃.
The Hole in the Ground (2019)
A very good film but that could have been great!
It was really good. The acting was extraordinary, the script was great and so was the directing and the photography.
It kept me interested but didn't have many scare jumps if that's what you're looking for. Also, it's nothing we haven't seen before but I think it has a good element of surprise towards the end. I felt like something was missing though, an extra something so that this became a real hit with me as a horror lover. Hence my 7. But it is good and I recommend it very much!
I Still See You (2018)
SURPRISINGLY ENTERTAINING!
I was prepared to see a bad movie. It had some flaws at the beginning but then it got better and I enjoyed it! The acting wasn't bad and the plot was actually interesting. It wasn't the best but it wasn't bad neither. Give it a try!
