Regular Show: Skips' Story (2014)
Season 5, Episode 22
10/10
A sad episode that I didn't expected
16 April 2024
Regular show is a brilliant show. These hilarious adventure of the park has always been fascinating to me. But this episode has more humane than rest of the episodes in this show. This was truly a sad rundown about Skips that touched my core. Skips is known to be an immortal but how he comes to be an immortal, why he is here or what he wants to accomplish has never been answered and truth to be told I didn't think that in this show they will show something tragic that is close to our eyes. Brilliant writing.

Score: 10/10

P. S. I hope Skips will gain redemption.

Regular show: Day 26: Skip's Story.

Underrated Masterpiece
21 February 2022
The story of the movie is adapted from a book named 'Tony And Susan' written by Austin Wright. The synopsis of the movie is basic and dreary; It is about a woman, Susan Morrow (Amy), who owns an art gallery, who receives a manuscript of a novel from her ex-husband, Edward (Jake). The title of the manuscript is 'Nocturnal Animals' and it is dedicated to Susan Morrow. Despite loving her first husband, she divorced him, and they haven't seen each other for 19 years. That manuscript came through the mail and there was a note attached to it telling that this story is unique, that it was motivated by her, and he is in town, so she can read the manuscript, critique it and discuss this in person if she wants.

Pretty normal right? Sounds boring? That is where you are wrong. It sounds boring because this is just the beginning of the movie. The actual plot starts when Susan starts reading the manuscript. The story of the manuscript starts with a family (Tony, Laura, and their daughter) driving in the middle of the night to West Texas. But on the road, they were assaulted by three men from another car. Then they kidnapped wife and daughter, leaving Tony clueless about their whereabouts. The story becomes more disturbing as Susan reads further, and she realizes that this story is also about her, which foreshadows her relationship with Edward and her tragic yet vicious past begins to unravel the mystery. She is frightened about how much of this story is based on them, which tampered with her morality and reality. The story continues with two parallel realities. One is about Susan, her surroundings, and her past, another one is about the story Susan is reading.

The thing that attracted me most about this movie is its unique storytelling. The metaphor behind every character and their decisions is very well described and well-acted as well. Especially, if you have watched the movie, you damn well know how intense and nerve-wracking the scene on the road was. I had to stop breathing for this scene. Honestly, this is a revenge thriller movie. You won't find a more satisfying ending than this one yet when the movie will end you sure would stare at the screen and begin to think about what just happened.

Then I must describe the stellar cast of this movie. Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Aaron, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher have exceeded my expectations in every way. Amy Adams portrays a rich but sad, lonely woman who is not happy with her life. Jake played his novel character with such perfection. Michael Shannon and Aaron acted as they live through this personality. Isla Fisher is the perfect choice for her role in playing the mirror version of Amy Adams. Aaron's facial expressions of creepiness, rage, absence of feeling remorse are so good I cannot find a word to describe it. Aaron has won Golden Globe Awards in the supporting role category. But he didn't get nominated for an Oscar, which is beyond me. Although Michael Shannon did get nominated for his role portraying Bobby.

This is the 2nd feature film by Tom Ford. He purposely staged the last act of this movie for viewers to wonder why this has happened. I think this is why this movie is unique to everyone because everyone has their self-theory, different motives, and a different perspective about the conclusion. It is up to the audience to resolve. Tom Ford called Aaron because he thought Aaron's facial manifestations are suited for his maniacal role. And those who don't know, Tom Ford is a fashion designer. He has a lot to show us.

The cinematography of the movie is on another level. Nocturnal Animals was originally shot at California State. Most of the scene was shot at the Mojave Desert of California.

My rating for the film is beyond any number. This has been one of the decent thrillers in the past few years. I hope Tom Ford uses his talents to surprise us, excite us in a way we never desired for.

Black Mirror: White Christmas (2014)
Season 2, Episode 4
10/10
Horror without ghost
31 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Everyone who has watched Black Mirror already knows that this series taunts audiences' mentalities. But after the white christmas episode, there was only one word in my mind, "F××××××××." Especially, in the end, when he has been blocked by everyone I realized that his existence serves no purpose after this occurrence.

First of all, this episode satisfied my inner soul by showing the creepy, dark, and cruel side of being a human.

The pace of the story is very fast from beginning to end. I didn't care for the fact that this episode is one or two hours long.

Rafe Spall and John Hamm give the best performance which has created an atmosphere to look upon the character and their belief for their actions throughout this episode. Rafe Spall finds out he has a daughter and he waited for the right moment to see her and eventually discovers that this daughter is an Asian. After that, his wrath forced him to murder the father and he left his daughter out frozen which was the mystery job for John Hamm. John Hamm was on trial for misusage of technology and was responsible for the murder of his client. So the authority needs a confession from Rafe Spall and they need someone with expertise in Voyeur Technology which was John Hamm. So John Hamm created a virtual place where time works differently from the real world and also built a reality that resembles the place where Rafe Spall murdered that Asian father. Finally, he confessed to his crime and was going to be punished for eternity. John Hamm was free at last but authorities believed that he also deserves punishment for his sins so they blocked his communication with every living person.

Kudos to writer Charlie Brooker. I lost my word how an alone man can write this variety of scripts.

Now, after watching this you should have plenty of thought and sympathy for Rafe Spall and John Hamm. Maybe you are thinking they didn't deserve this cruel, inhuman punishment. But what kinds of punishment you would have liked? If anyone is believing that they don't deserve this then you are very quick to judge human presence. They had a choice yet their sense of morality vanished when it appears to do the right stuff. This is what Charlie Brooker was trying to show us through Black Mirror. Still, technology is the greatest threat to humans, to this world.

Pig (I) (2021)
9/10
Best movie of 2021
7 January 2022
Michael Sarnosky made his first debut in this movie. By the look of the trailer of the movie, people thought that this movie is similar to John Wick. But this movie is far more superior to most of the films that came out recently.

This slow pace drama takes place in the Oregonian wilderness, a single living person, Rob, who used to be a chef in Portland, now hunts truffles with his pet pig and sells them to an inexperienced seller Amir. One night some local unidentified assailants kidnap his pig for an unknown reason and this is where the movie began. His search for his pig brought some past hidden life/truth of his in the movie.

I think this movie is for people who wronged Nicholas Cage and his performances throughout his career. We saw in search of his pig he was forced to cope with his anger and unstable reality which he left after his wife died. For him, this is a reality where he got hurt, betrayed. His loneliness and unsocial activities vanished when he entered society. There is also a glimpse of black comedy when he meets Derrik who was a chef in his former restaurant. The character arc between Rob, Amir, and Amir's father is beautifully crafted and very realistic for the audience. Also, the cinematography is well suited for this script.

This indie drama film is about finding solace in who lost someone they love even though their memory can be painful and suffering.

This is the best film of 2021 for me.

Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014)
10/10
You won't find anything like this.
3 January 2022
The most shocking truth about this series is this show doesn't have any Emmy Awards. From the soundtrack to the story this show has everything you need. Every character even a single simple side character also has good development and their own story throughout the show.

Sons of anarchy is an outlaw motorcycle club in Charming, California State. Their club is called SAMCRO which means 'Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original'. Jax Teller, Vice President of SAMCRO, whose father John Teller was also President of this club who died in an accident. Jax Teller recently became a father and having trouble determining which path would be better for his son and also for his club. The main source income of their club comes from smuggling guns. But Jax wants this club to get out of the guns business and move forward with a legitimate way to earn money. His struggle with his club being a father, club affairs with local police and Feds, family problems, and other issues with other gangs like Mayans,Black And Russian Mafia, etc.

Jax Teller along with Clay Morrow and Jax's best friend Opie has the best story and development in the show. The thing about this show I love is that all of their decisions have consequences which help the story to continue and everything feels realistic. You cannot say this episode was unnecessary or this character didn't need any back story. Kurt Sutter is the creator and writer of this show and he did an excellent job also by performing Otto.

The brutality of this show is on another level. The harsh truth about your favorite character will leave you speechless. When you see a character is experiencing a traumatic situation that turns him to choose violence, you either feel sorry for them or you change your perspective about their history.

The character I hate most- Gemma Teller Morrow She is the sole reason for most of the violence and destruction that happened in this series. To me, she is the most hated tv character of all time.

The characters I love most- Jax Teller, Clay Morrow, Opie, Tig, and Bobby.

Favorite season- season 3 to 5.

This is one of the best drama series I have ever watched. If you love crime drama with some vicious twist plus action you should watch this one. Also, this is an 18+ and R-rated series. So, this series is only for mature audiences.

Personal Rating- 10/10.

Glorious+Mysterious+Emotional
9 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is the first time we've seen loki crying because he realised that his mother death is on him. His egocentric behaviour remains the same yet he understood what he is and what he will be in the future. Don't know but i think his motive is to change his future also by preventing his other loki variant-self. This is going to be epic.

Btw I liked that cat reaction when loki fell 😹

The Family Man season 2 finale is more tense and the story maintain every possible twist & turn coming to an end. And we have to appreciate the last action scene happens in one-uncut-camera shot. This was some well direction and we don't see that much often in Indian industry. Hats off 🙌🏽 Eagerly waiting for S3 which took place China's strike with Bio-weapon.

My #2nd best show after Breaking Bad
30 May 2021
I have watched this series maybe like 4th times. And I came to this conclusion that after breaking bad this series has the most satisfying ending of all time. Ending episode clarify all our questions and we,audiences are left to wonder how can someone was able to pull that kind of ending..!! One of the most amazing thing during the show i've noticed was 'Authenticity.' The way they show how to hack or mental depression or any deep conversation between some characters are so pure and perfect you won't see any flaws and that is the beauty of Mr. Robot.

Goodbye Elliott. I will rewatch this series again & again & again to remind myself how much of good a series can be.. From🇧🇩
