Az ötödik pecsét (1976)
what a masterpiece this is!
I really can't describe the joy of discovering this movie. A unique experience that combines art, meaning and an exceptional technique of cinematography. The depth on the characters build up, the unbeliavable script and the absolute rhytm makes this movie a total monument in what the art of cinema stands for. I really suggest you to watch this film. The feelings and the tense which brings to the viewer cannot be described. A true masterpiece from the titles of the beginning to the last scene!
The Favourite (2018)
beautiful, dirty and powerful.
Lanthimos proved that there is always a fresh way to approach direction. The film consists of a great rythm which follows perfectly the tention of the characters. I enjoyed the film from the first to the last second due to the unique use of timing. Slow parts follow the quicker ones and the opposite so succesfully. Great photography, great costumes and music. The addition of so many clever details gives to the plot not only the colour and the realism of that times but also helps the three actresses to achieve exceptional levels of acting. I believe that this movie takes the whole perspective of cinematography a bit further in all of its aspects. Clearly a masterpiece.
Alitheia (2006)
great movie!
Despite the fact that this is a short film the director succesfully brings a coplete story to the screen! Realistic dialogues and great pace consist this movie one of the best short movies i 've ever seen. Everything is just at the right spot! Really good!
Frances Ha (2012)
beautiful.
This movie is a sweet piece of art. Brilliant acting (Greta Gerwig is so into the character of Frances), excellent rhythm due to the fine/so accurate montage and very gentle touch of houmor at the right amount. The black and white gives to the whole movie a tone of shade which gives a nostalgic feeling. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry but above all it will bring you to the position to question your own motivations and choices in life and if fighting for your own goals is enough to finally make ends meet and come to balance with yourself. I really reccomend this movie and i'm happy that i discovered it.
