Wired Shut (2021)

Boring

I fell asleep 4 times. I hoped it would be worth the time invested. Nope! The actor who played the daughter was far too shallow to get any sympathy. (spoiler alert) what was with the maniacal screaming between the boyfriend and dad? Way too over done.

Thirteen Lives (2022)

The cast, screenplay and director captivated my attention from the get-go. An outstanding, empathic trip through the creative minds telling a true story. One of the top 10 movies I've seen in a lifetime. (I'm an avid movie fan) Bravo!

Jeff Bridges "baba goo" he is not. Seriously. Snooze effort to follow behind a John Wick title. I wish the plot thickened or at least more intense development. The character playing his female sidekick is such a well of mess its hard not to laugh.

Fell short

The rubbish came with the American character. She came off as a smart mouth wannabe right out of high school. It cramped what might have been a pretty good series with the career cops taking charge.

Sandra Bullock - miscast

The lead should have went to someone that could make this character believable. Sandra Bullock had such a ridiculous facial expression it was hard not to laugh. I hoped the longer I watched, the better it would get. This was, by far, one of her worst movies. I am a disappointed fan.

False Positive (2021)

The plot has been seen several times in other movies. I had a difficult time with the lead actress. She didn't have the acting chops to fire up any sympathy in the wannabe thriller. Justin Theroux did his best with what he had to work with. I hope he picks better scripts in the future. I don't know what to think of Pierce Brosnan's reason for picking this role.

There's never down time, never a moment lost on mundane script. Frank Grillo at his best! Excellent casting and soundtrack supported this brilliant lightning fast laugh fest. Hoping for more like this in Frank Grillo's future. Major props to the director!

Absolutely brilliant! It brought me to the edge of my seat. The humanity, compassion, and genius came through in a climactic finish. I was in tears. Bravo!

If there was ever a time to find a goal, it was this movie. What was the point wasting time with this long drawn out wannabe plot. Please produce better movies taking the viewers interest more seriously. You'll never garner praise by using infants either.

It's everything fun you'd expect from a thrill ride! Michael Bay kept the action at 10. Enjoy! I hope the dull reviews doesn't keep you from tuning in. They just don't get it.

The characters and intrigue are well played. However, the lead actor left very little room for empathy involving his interest in the plot. This would have made a much better film with different casting.

At first I thought this had to be a decent movie with Dean Cain. Fifteen minutes into the movie, I was almost sure this was a intended to be a comedy dressed as horror genre. Wrong on all counts.

Hinterland (2013–2016)

Beautiful landscapes, intriguing plots. Unfortunately, the show drags its feet, circling around tumultuous, malcontent, main characters. Never has a pulse throbbing moment.

The Institute (2017)

Not sure what they hoped to gain from this movie. I'm surprised at how terrible it is considering the line-up. However, terrible it is, and I wouldn't recommend investing the time. James Franco should reconsider his decision to direct films.
