Die Hard (1988)
10/10
"Haaaaaans!"
5 November 2011
Die Hard was one of those movies that just didn't disappoint. Bruce Willis was perfect for the role. His bad attitude, and it being used in a building full of terrorists was a perfect match.

Alan Rickman was great in being the nemesis, he is eerie, and you get the total feeling that hes such a dangerous villain. Bonnie Bedelia was also great as Johns wife being held hostage.

The action scenes? what can i say? for the time it was made, this movie has not dated at all. In fact its more realistic in its making compared to to other action flicks with over the top CGI. This move is a classic, go watch it!

Surpassed my Expectations and gave a Fantastic Ending to the Inbetweeners
13 September 2011
All i can say is it was absolutely hilarious, and I mean that. After seeing season 3 I thought it was the weakest of the seasons, and wasn't expecting much out of the movie. But Ho-ly, throughout the theater, laughs rang out through the entire place, they sure saved the best for last. Will, Jay, Neill and Simon all reprise their roles, as well as Carli, and Mr Gilbert and Donovan in a small role.

We get to see another side to Will, Jay and Simon and Neill throughout, and it shows their friendship with each other in a new light which i never saw that much within the series, and this is what i thought supported the movie to be definitely the best movie I've seen this year Hilarious, see it

I Love A Scare At Bedtime, but this is just......
21 May 2011
First off i think its the fact that Lucy Kennedy presents it is a major problem, she tries to be funny, alas she is not. She brings a formal approach to the show when the camera stems from Podge and Rodge onto her talking to the camera, I get the feeling she loves the sound of her own voice. This show was just a simple vehicle to further her career. Shes totally pointless. And why on earth did the creators give Podge and Rodge human bodies in the intro?! They look bloody stupid

Podge and Rodge are still there however but the overall concept is stupid and the "Celebrities" they interview just go with it and crack a smile and a chuckle when Podge and Rodge rips the p**s out of them - "ho ho ho, you're such funny little puppets" Overall its very watered down. I miss the wee stories they used to tell on A Scare at bedtime and the jokes they made were awful funny.

My question is Why did they cancel A Scare at Bedtime?? and then put this on, only for it to end as well?

Without a doubt, the Weakest Seth Rogan Movie
13 April 2011
I rented this with high expectations, I love Seth Rogan. Knocked Up and Pineapple Express and 40 Year Old Virgin were hilarious. He makes me laugh an awful lot in those movies. This turned out to be the grand mother load of s**t. A poor script makes this out to be a poor movie.

Seth Rogan is a Bi Polar security guard who wants to be a cop to track down a Perverted Flasher around a Mall and fails miserably in doing so again and again. I felt more sorry for his character if anything. He had no dignity at all in this movie compared to characters he played. Ray Liotta may be the only good piece of acting in this.

Punch lines that barely made me even utter a laugh, and an incredibly annoying Anna Faris didn't make things any better either. Very Poor

The Happening (2008)
Misunderstood if anything
5 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
The Happening was a good movie to sit down and watch. I haven't seen all of Shyamalans movies, just Signs and The Village. Both great movies. The Happening stars Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel.Their acting is quite mediocre however, and is very obvious. Their relationship in the movie in my opinion is comedic throughout and then are hit with emotional levels, which seemed inappropriate at times. I noticed this also when watching Signs. Comedic lines within a disaster movie.

The closeups Shyamalan uses of peoples faces symbolizes dire distress. The story of The Happening everyone says sucked. This is far from the truth. It is quite intelligent, and displays mankind for who we really are and what were doing which I think Shyamalan was trying to communicate to us. Its an eerie movie really.

One of the beginning scenes with all the construction workers jumping off the building is a very memorable scene for me, and where John Leguziamo is traveling through a town and sees that everyone has used ladders to climb trees and hang themselves. Oh and the soundtrack in the movie is just brilliant. Overall a good movie to watch. Definitely doesn't deserve the hate its been getting

Embarrassing to watch, don't you get that??
2 August 2010
This show is just plain awful, god awful. Its forced way too much, completely unrealistic. The characters and their interactions are plain fake and unrealistic. The dialog? It makes you wonder whether its a comedy or a drama, writers please make up your mind.

When the students break out into song, nearly every 5 minutes,it gives me goosebumps and makes me cringe, especially if there's someone else watching. I have to leave the room. I cant believe what I'm watching really. From my recollection, there was and episode in which the main lead character proves his love for his lady friend, while Sugababes "About you now" is playing,we're suppose to assume that this loves is going to last forever, and that were really suppose to like this guy for doing it. Thats OK. Next episode, nearly 5 minutes into it,he cheats on her straight away with another woman. And it has a comedic element to it?! what the hell? WHY the hell would he do that? and we're still suppose to like this guy? so basically the ending of the last episode lied to us? their love wasn't pure at all? everything seems very forced, and fake, and proves this by throwing away what happened in the garbage and forgetting about it in the next episode. Makes you think, "do I really care??"

This show is all over the place,i don't know how anyone can watch it. This is a craze TV show, and its right up there with Twilight. Hopefully this will be forgotten about in 5 years when the shows ended.

A Nuclear Strike full of CG
17 July 2010
And thats what I've noticed about this. This movie was made as if the people who made it were on drugs. The dialog is very childish, and the girl who played Susie Salmon is god awful. She has only 3 emotional states throughout the movie, happy, yet so confused about everything that is going on, and helpless whilst screaming every once in a while from heaven to her parents who cant hear her. The main problem I had about this movie was, who exactly was the target audience? kids or adults?. It was a cross between a drama (that I must admit had a very disturbing scene) and The Chronicles of Narnia, so which is it? because both of these just doesn't work.

The only thing I liked was the actor Stanley Tucci, who gave a great performance as the killer. Mark Wahlberg was completely wooden as usual. The CG was just too much, and the story got way over the top completely very quick. I knew Id hated it 5 minutes into it.

Cloverfield (2008)
10/10
Godzilla meets The Blair Witch Project
15 July 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. This was just absolutely spectacular. Special effects were just amazing from the camcorder style, looked absolutely real. I didn't see it in the theater but i wish i had, I would have loved it even more. The atmosphere itself that just surrounded the whole movie and the emotions of happiness at a going away party that suddenly turn to panic and fear when flying debris from a building thats after being destroyed starts flying thorugh the New York skyline towards our characters on top of a high rise apartment building. It was so good.

Im not going to go into great detail about the movie, because it is more about the experience itself of seeing Cloverfield. Our characters are likable, I liked Rob an awful lot, and his other friends that were at his surprise going away party also. The may seem like yuppies, but they're OK. Their journey through Manhattan, from crossing a massive bridge where the monster attacks, from underground subway tunnels filled with creatures to an open street where they encounter a war zone with between the military and the monster, through a mall where they come across a triage of wounded people/soldiers where we find out the monster can in fact release these smaller creatures and when bitten by one of them, one grows inside you and bursts out of your stomach. It may seem like it was ripped from Aliens, and it probably was.

Otherwise, as other reviewers may have said, a breath of fresh air through the Blair Witch style. Excellent movie, you should'nt be disappointed

Dramatic cliché American acting through the camera lens didn't work, However...
15 July 2010
Caught this on Sky Sci Fi/Horror movie channel on night. A good movie for what it is really. But what slightly bugged me about it was that the acting was just like watching and episode of an American soap opera, the direction of the acting was going through also. A happy American family is portrayed on screen through the style a la Blair Witch (However didn't this come before Blair Witch?) Anyway, the problem is I don't know what people are saying that it looked REAL when this is obviously far from the truth. First off, the acting is not the type of acting you would expect to see at a thanksgiving dinner through a camcorder. The actors are behaving like it is a movie with awful clichés when it should be portrayed as REAL life acting especially if we are to assume this is actual footage of a real tape. The acting is mediocre at best when it comes to this movie. What the director/writers should have left out was the sudden interruptions they made during the movie having brief interviews with a cop, a rock star abductee, and a scientist giving their thoughts on the "Found" Footage. Pure Garbage in my opinion.

However, having said all that, it didn't ruin the movie for me that much. It was in fact enjoyable. What made this movie great was the aliens outside the house and telepathically messing with the families minds, and causing them to suffer from nosebleeds and burns on their backs, and having all the electronics in the house go haywire and having the young girl only barely touching the keys on the piano, making the other family members think she is actually playing the piano, we the audience only notice this however through the camera. A few eerie scenes made me say "this is crazy" a few times, which I loved.

Seeing this now, it reminded only a small bit of Paranormal Activity, set in a house giving it a kind of claustrophobic sense with bad s***t going down. However I wont compare it to it that much, this was obviously way low budget, and way back in 1998 especially. So I wont compare it to Paranormal Activity really except for the house setting through the camera. Overall, a decent movie. Just ignore those stupid actors in the "Interviews".

My Favourite B-Movie, Inspires me to go into B-Movie Film-Making
30 June 2010
I first caught a viewing of Back From Hell on the Horror Channel a number of years ago, and I instantly loved it because of the fake blood, the sets, and even the music Matt Jaissle designed for the movie. For a bad movie, I know where the director was getting at. I know that from the locations the camera seems to be filming while the music is playing, is suppose to give suspense, or give a haunting atmosphere however it fails big time at giving anything like that. It inspires me because of how bad it is, and how amateur it is, If I was to start making b horror movies, Id start off at watching this because of the editing which is pretty bad, yes its so bad that its good. YES, it does fall into that category.

Its kind of strange that I loved this movie, the story is fine, and the background of Aaron and Jack is fine, the acting - the worst I've ever seen. First off this has to be one of the worst movies ever made, the sound seems so far away. The two main leads, and that cop seem as if they forget their lines most of the time. There is no emotion in their voice when they're talking, and when it seems like they give the impression that there is suppose to be, you cant help but laugh at some scenes. As other reviewers of this have said, there is some hilarious one-liners and action scenes with those satanic ninjas, and the make-up and gore is so bad its funny.

I tried for a while to get this on DVD, and luckily found a copy after some time on Ebay. If you love B-Movies, add this to your collection, its a good one.

I liked it, Under-Rated Movie where the Hellraiser franchise ends in my opinion
17 June 2010
I don't see where all the hate is coming from on this movie.I first saw it when i was about 15, and it was a great horror flick, I never heard there were other Hellraiser movies to be honest, and after watching this, I was slightly creeped out by Pinheads dialogue, his lines in this movie gave me goosebumps, to the fact on the creepy and messed up scene of the creation of the "twin" cenobites from the 2 security guards which gave me a little more gore and mutilation than i asked for. But then again, this is the kind of scene that should be in horror movies more, instead nowadays we have to put up with crappy remakes of old slasher movies that are made with no intelligence whatsoever. Another thing that creeped me out the fact that the characters especially John Merchant, a family man who has a wife and a kid where you actually felt terrified for them, you'd expect those chains come from nowhere again and rip their skin off. The atmosphere that surrounded his family was chilling.

The cinematography and editing in the movie was perfect to show a hellish like atmosphere that is continuous in the movie while in the scenes with the cenobites and Angelique. The music as well is portrayed brilliantly, I thought the director did very well. The make-up and gore was nothing to make it seem fake, I actually didn't notice anything odd about it, it seemed very well done for this direct to video release.

Some people are against this movie that its getting to the point where Pinhead is in space, I did notice this, however still after watching the first 3 movies, i didn't think it was that bad. I thought it worked, the story didn't rely too much that it was in space, it was mostly flashbacks of Merchant (who has built a space station and use it to close the gates of Hell forever and destroy the cenobites) to the curse of La 'Merchant - the man who made the box, and the curse of his bloodline by the Cenobites. It shows the fate of Pinhead seeing that this is far into the future.

All in all, it was a good horror movie, but if you're easily offended by mutilation in a twisted sick and grotesque degrading way by means of chains and machinery coming out of nowhere, then this might not be for you

Poorly Executed Remake, Flaws, and Characters you just don't seem to care about
28 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I kinda knew that it was going to be garbage. The only thing I was curious about seeing was the new Freddy, and its safe to say he sucked. Maybe Im comparing this one to the original too much, but Robert Englund seemed more creepier. Jackie Earle was more of an imitator of Freddy, it just didn't work for me as a remake. I suppose he did his best I guess, but he did'nt seem to be "Freddy" and he was too mellow to be him.

The main complaint Im going to make here though are the choice of characters, and oh man, but they be any more cliché? first off in the movie, the first 30 minutes or so are stuck on the blonde chick Chris who's having nightmares of Freddy, and dies in the same way as Tina in the original (the bedroom ceiling slaughter scene), I have to say this scene has got to be the worst remade scene in the whole movie, overacted and over-dramatic screaming and s**t-fits from this girl made everyone in the whole theater roar with laughter, I am not joking. It was garbage. The movie was focused on Chris so much I started to believe she was the lead character, then it seemed like they just threw Nancy in.

Things didn't get much better when the writers had to think up of a clever concept for one of the emo characters Quentin to stay awake (Kyle Gallner, who wears the same beanie hat in all his movies, and has that weird look on his mouth), to start taking drugs from a pharmacy, and adrenaline syringes from hospitals, it got completely ridiculous. The unknown actress who plays Nancy is absolutely horrendous. We now see an Emo-Nancy, who works as a waitress, a very weak character who does nothing but make creepy drawings of Freddy...Why??? and cries and sobs, eventually leading her to becoming an adrenaline junkie like her emo friend which leads her in-between the real and dream world where Freddy can get to her. We hear the emo kid get all scientific why its happening from the adrenaline. Did you ever hear of coffee?!Its completely ridiculous.

Shes nothing like the original Nancy, who was very strong, smart and cunning who we all knew and liked. After watching this, it really made me want to go watch the original, and I did. Made around 26 years ago, and it kicked this ones ass way off.People need to know that it takes intelligence to write a movie, not over the top cg for the nightmare scenes,in the original it was standard prop special effects. For a remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, this was weak as Hell, however I didn't expect much.

Stop the remakes for Gods sake!

Where Do I begin???
23 January 2010
Lets start off with the line "Im Sorry", yes, this is the most overused line in the whole show. People get thick with each other, say I'm sorry, everything is hunky dory again, and then it all starts again, over, and over, and over, and over again. Second off, the story lines are mind boggling, absolutely, atrocious. Each character in the whole show has to be the most unluckiest person in the world, being cheated on, being accused of murder, get pregnant by someone who eventually leaves town, and then finally death, or just leaves anyway because his/her business contract has expired after 2 years. 1 of these things has happened to at least all the character on the show. And the drinking problem storyline is still there, yup, after 22 years, its still there. And you know what makes me really sick is that each character has to stick their nose in to other peoples business, and the other person gladly tells them everything thats happening in their life, while the other person says "well if there's anything i can do,let me know" if it was me,id tell them to mind their own go damn business. Each person is one and the same. It is so unreal that this programme gets funding. This is the perfect example of bad television, it is juvenile, the female adults are either pure soccer mom stereotypes, or just act like teenagers themselves. Its a disgrace

Neighbours (1985– )

Terrible, Just TERRIBLE
24 November 2009
I first started watching Neighbours when I met my girlfriend about 2 years ago because she watched it. Ever since, it has been attached to me like a parasite (along with Home and Away). First off, it has to be the most unrealistic show, along with the most annoying inlikable characters who act like complete and utter fairies, The same dialogue is portrayed in every episode. The acting is decent however, but thats not the point. The stories are like there from the another universe that would rarely come into another persons life. The character Zeke for example is the most head-wrecking person to ever exist, ever notice in every scene, all he does is complain, most lightly because he has never got laid, and he blames everyone else because of it. I don't want to express my hate, but I am, its a terrible show, just AAAAAAAAAGH!!. It makes me want to vomit over and over when people like this are licking each others a*s the whole time (Carl and Susan) One episode is enough for a lifetime, wait, no, one scene...

Backwoods (2008 TV Movie)
5/10
Not as bad as I thought It would be
27 June 2009
Warning: Spoilers
That being said, Haylie Duff can't act worth a s**t, like her sister Hilary. The guy who played Adam I though was my favorite out of the movie, he was the only real sensible one out of all 8 idiotic characters. If you get lost in the woods, do you go breaking into a creepy old house calling for help? and if you get no response, do you keep exploring the house anyway? No, if it were me, Id ring the doorbell, if there's no answer, I'd be on my way to the next house.

Onto what I liked about this movie. If you read the synopsis of this movie, you should know what its about. For a scary Horror, its is quite mild. The story is not original whatsoever, It just like watching the Hills Have Eyes, or the Texas Massacre movies. However I did like this movie anyway, the beginning kind of sucked, but coming upto the 30 minute mark, it was quite enjoyable. It really kicked off when the lead character escapes after being captured, lots of killing, and even a huge explosion turning into a mini action movie for about 2 minutes which I did not expect at all. Overall, It was quite good.

Blade II (2002)
10/10
I had my doubts, but this is a rare Excellent movie Sequel!
25 June 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Blade 2 is one of those rare movie sequels that is successful in everything, good story especially. Movie sequels always flop in my opinion, not counting those classics like Terminator 2 etc.

I was very surprised after seeing this, I thought "oh great, another excuse to make the big bucks" on a good solid movie, but no, this is a great movie. I loved the first Blade, it had vampires, they could go out into sunlight wearing sunblock, and there was a vampire council who were all born vampires who were in charge of everything, government, police etc. Blade 2 introduced the Reapers, being who feed on vampires and humans, when vampires are bitten they turn into Reapers, who are immune against garlic, and silver. Only Sunlight can kill them.

The Vampire Council enlists Blades help to track down Nomak - a Reaper vampire who is rapidly spreading Reapers across the city, and he must lead "The Blood Pack", a group of well trained vampire soldiers funded by the council to track them down. The guy who plays Nomak had his acting done perfectly, Wesley Snipes is good, and Kris Kristofferson reprises his role as Whistler.

An Excellent sequel, that offers kick ass martial fight scenes, and CG that is done perfectly and very realistic, you can barely notice it compared to silly movies today like Star Trek and Terminator Salvation, watch this, The story is original and just awesome, I would Recommend!

This is the Show that brought me back to Television, Watch 24
28 May 2009
With its Real Time format, 24 episodes per season, the clock never stops ticking until that final hour

When first watching Season 1 of this incredible series, i was drawn into a world where anything can happen within one day, Presidential Assassinations, nuclear bombs going off, and Government conspiracies on top. I could not stop watching and was begging for a second season, Kiefer Sutherland is just the perfect actor for this show.

Although some seasons were great, others dragged and became repetitive (Season 6) which lacked substance, and development. Season 7 was a huge improvement and is now one of my favorites - Season 1, 2, 5, 7.

Watch 24, I'd highly Recommend it

Just Your Typical Slasher movie, 3-D Elements were Nothing Special
24 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The 3-D idea a Director would bring to a movie is a good idea, its unique and only works with certain movies, like the horror genre.

My Bloody Valentine had a good enough of a plot for me to like this movie. i had seen a lot of slasher movies in the past number of years, and I did feel it was repeating the same thing again for this movie as regards to story and acting. A girl screaming her bloody lungs out as the Killer is her chasing her - same thing in this. The Killer wearing the Gas-Mask was pretty decent as regards to a shocking figure though.

As I said the 3-D concept was only OK, the hype like we see in the trailer of this movie I have to say is complete and utter garbage, its good, but its not that good.

The story was good, our lead is accused of murders that happened a while back, and then murders start happening again upon his returning, I was very surprised by the ending I must say. I kept asking myself who is the killer? and its always the one you least expect, even if you tell yourself the person who you least expect - it never is.

All in all, its kind of a Love/Hate thing going on for me with this movie, its an only OK movie, but the 3-D concept was garbage, and waaaaaaaay over-hyped. It was a way of promoting the movie.

Give it a watch though, Its good Entertainment I guess

Well...The Poster looked cool!
22 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
One day we and my girlfriend decided to got to the cinema about a year back, it was a random decision, and we thought it would be good fun. Upon entering the lobby of the theater, our eyes were cast upon the boards and T.V.'s alike about the movies showing. After being constantly nagged about going to see "27 Dresses", my answer was no all the way. Our final decision was made when we saw the poster of "One Missed Call". It was very appealing to me. We thought hey, its a modern horror movie about phones, Im sure we could get a few scares in there Im sure, how bad could it be? My answer is VERY.

Half an hour into the movie, I knew this was going to be the biggest pile of garbage I've ever seen, another reason was that there was 2 other people in the theater, and that is no joke! and Im sure they were thinking the exact same thing. I mean, who starts performing an exorcism on a mobile phone??? I don't think I ever saw something so ridiculous, I loved how they made it look so serious. My girlfriend was laughing too especially with one of the final scenes where our 2 leads are talking and we finally know what exactly is going on in this movie, and I have to say its completely ridiculous.

Upon leaving the theater, we were just smiling and saying "worst movie ever" as I glanced across the way and noticed the other young couple smiling, probably also trying to find a way of coping from the sheer embarrassment of watching this movie.

Now i never knew there was an original Japanese movie of this, and only found out after looking this up. And after reading the ratings I might get a copy of it in the future, but not for a while yet, as I am still recovering from its pure 90 minutes of highly defined class A Rubbish.

From its bad acting and bad script, there are absolutely no redeeming qualities to save this movie. The plot and ending didn't make a bit of sense. Very Poor Movie

The Outer Limits (1995–2002)
10/10
Well thought out, Highly defined Sci-Fi Show, I love this
22 May 2009
I first started watching The Outer Limits back in 95 when I was 10, and it just blew my mind every week with each episode, every episode had a twist and each week I couldn't wait for the next. How the writers managed to do every episode so well and make it different from each over a course of 7 seasons is beyond me. This show manages to teach us about life, robotics, Alien and human encounters, and an insight into more of the paranormal, and how it affects the people. What really makes this a good show are the characters in each episode, they really show emotion and are really good actors. What you'll also notice each week is an actor/actress you'll know from a past show which is pretty neat in its own way.

If you wanna chill out, and sit back with a good Sci-Fi show, then the Outer Limits is for you

Twin Peaks (1990–1991)
10/10
A Series that ended too soon, A Classic Show
20 March 2009
I was always a bit young to watch Twin Peaks back in 1990, and at 5 Years old, obviously, I wasn't too interested in it. But over the course of the past few years I have managed to get my hands on the DVD's, and after watching The second Episode of Season 1, I was glued to the TV, mainly because of the Horror part of the show, The murder of Laura Palmer, Bob, LMFAP, The Giant, Mike, and The Waiting Room were my main interest. I wished this had not ended after only 2 Seasons. The show had always been about Laura Palmer since the Pilot Episode, but gradually throughout Season 2, some story lines were just steering away from the main point of the show, which I was disappointed in. But managed to get back to the point at the last 2 episodes of the series which I was happy with.

They simply don't make shows like this anymore, but had David Lynch got the rights to make a season 3 and filled in all the gaps and cleared up all those unanswered questions, Twin Peaks would have got the recognition it deserves.

If you've seen this, My advice is watch the movie, "Fire Walk With Me", which was a Prequel to the series which somehow clears up most unanswered questions, but not all.

Unpredictable, weird, scary, and some scenes of comedy. Twin Peaks was one of the best series I have ever seen.

Role Models (2008)
3/10
Could have been so much better, Over-Rated
18 January 2009
Just saw Role Models last night, and boy oh boy, could this have been the most over-rated movie on IMDb?? I am a bit of a fan of Sean William Scott, and he has changed his personality slightly after the American pie Movies like Dukes Of Hazzard. But after seeing this crap, I got the idea he wasn't putting in any effort, along with Paul Rudd who was "Mike" in Friends, whom I thought was hilarious in the show.

Rudd basically plays a bit of a whiner, which I thought would have been funny if the movie had progressed properly with a bit of direction with his complaints, but no,he just remains the same throughout, in all honesty, he just wasn't funny at all, which was disappointing because I actually like the actor which was one of the main reasons for going to see this. I just wish he got a better script to work with There were a few laughs all in all, more on Sean William Scotts side, which was rare enough.

2 Characters I could not stand in this movie was 1. The Ex Junkie Leader of "Sturdy Wings" who just completely overdid her lines, and just does not suit Comedy (weiner scene when shes in the convenience store with Sean William Scott)...I rest my case, NOT FUNNY. And whats with all her pointless lines about "Bu*******ng"?? i just don't get it. For an ex junkie, ALL she did was talk about drugs, and being funny about it, which was ridiculous. And 2. The black kid, Ronnie. Im not taking this movie on a serious personal level, but this kid just turned out to be a foul mouthed brat, and just did NOT strike me as being funny at all, all he did was curse and shout at people, I just couldn't laugh, all I could do was roll my eyes and shake my head yet again. Along with a lot of cursing, (mostly from the black kid, which was all he did) and the pointless nudity scenes with William Scott(were they trying to add American pie scenes into this to make it funny?), this movie could have been aimed towards kids.

Like I said, a few laughs, not many. Its up to you if you want to pick this movie up, but don't expect much in my opinion...

Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005 Video)

Hellworld: Starring Lance Henriksen
15 January 2009
I was absolutely disgusted after seeing this, I am a die hard Hellraiser fan, but i think its safe to say this is not a Hellraiser movie. This should be called Hellworld: starring Lance Henriksen.

5 teens head off to a party sponsored by the website "Hellworld" and get butchered one by one. The gore is limited compared to Hellraiser 1,2,3,and 4.

A big twist is how the movie ends, with Pinhead only given 2 minutes total screen time throughout the whole movie just like Inferno,Hellseeker and Deader. Or is it Pinhead? sure does look like him, but he has lost his bad-ass personality, and is given ridiculous puns and one liners that made me just shake my head.

The actors? what can i say, there horrible, Lance himself doesn't even give a crap. All in all, this movie is appalling, and doesn't deserve to be part of the Hellraiser franchise.

Bit of advice, just stay the "Hell" away from this god awful piece of garbage

The Mangler 2 (2002 Video)

Ugh!
14 January 2009
Simply one of the worst movies you could pick out of your video store..

Jo Newton uploads the mangler virus into her schools computer which controls the whole school. Lance Henriksen stars as the headmaster who seems pretty obvious in his face that he cant stand this movie. The schools computer starts eventually starts killing everyone one by one. Jo is basically the Rebel Child, and her friends include the Jock, The hot girl, The funny guy, and the black guy, all with overly used clichés and who are all stereotypes you will find in a slasher/horror movie...but Wait..is this a horror movie? no its not, Im not sure what is is,but for a 15 cert here in Ireland its the biggest pile of feces laid to man. A lot of questions need to be asked about this, but ill just raise the important ones:

Why is Chelse Swain so angry in this movie? What has she to be angry about? Why did Lance Henriksen star in this movie? Why??? Why was this movie even made?

There is no blood or gore in this movie, just a few stupid deaths, one by electrocution and others off screen. A few references are made to other sources, like on the computer after one of the kids dies " You are the weakest link" and an stupidly amusing Spice Girls quote by Henriksen "tell me what you want, what you really really want"

???

What were they thinking?! :(

Brilliant!!
6 January 2007
This was by far the best of the sequels. Its different, fast moving, has a very good 80's feel to it, and the movie isn't isolated at all compared to its prequels. It all starts when Jason manages to stow away on a cruise ship full with teenagers heading towards to New York City, and starts to pick them off one by one. What makes this the best of the Friday's is that ITS NOT BORING, IT does'nt really give you that awful feeling when your just waiting who's going to die next...in fact the body count is so high in this movie you just don't really care and you'll just start enjoying the movie instead. And also compared to the other movies you just don't see Jason stalking people with the camera behind some unknown figure who just isn't scary at all. In this movie Jason is not a stalker, he is brutal killer who kills anyone he comes into contact with aboard the ship all the way into New York City.

Im dropping one star because of the visions of young Jason the lead cast has which didn't really feel appropriate.

Other than that, its a very enjoyable movie, and like I said, this was the best of the Friday the 13th movies, If not the best
