Gully Boy (2019)
Awesome movie
I've seen many Hollywood movies based on rappers and I'm proud to say that Gully Boy is at par with them it terms of acting, direction, special effects, makeup and costume. I love satisfactory endings that leave you with a smile and some hope.
Aisha (2010)
Good movie.
It's a good chick flick. Doubt my boys would love watching it. Sonam's acting is ok. Not very difficult. But it was good to watch on a lazy morning.
Pataakha (2018)
Awesome sibling movie
The movie as well as it's ending was good. I mean it kept me hooked on to it until the end. The actresses did a fantastic job. Very natural. Sunil Grover was also awesome as usual. The storyline would touch many aggressive siblings all over the world. It's not the typical 'first everything is rosy and then comes a villain' type of movie. Very well directed and very well presented.
Soni (2018)
Extremely slow
We randomly picked this movie and watched it with an open mind. But it was too slow for me and I did not find any significance in some of the dialogues there. I wanted to quit watching the movie half way through but then decided to forward the boring talks a bit and finally reached the end. Though I got the end, the strong woman still wound up with a lower level job because of her temper. That shouldn't have been the end is all I'm saying. I didn't find the ending worth the patience I tried to give it due to its tortoise pace.
Helicopter Eela (2018)
Pretty good
After a long time I got to see Kajol as the main character. It was a heart warming story that all of us moms can relate to in some way or the other. The love, obsession, pampering and fears of a parent have been aptly portrayed. Mothers are not made to just live their whole lives for their families. The acting was awesome. I liked the movie as well as the positive end.
Dhadak (2018)
Uncomfortable end
I was very curious to watch Sridevi's daughter and Shahid's brother and it was going well. The story looked like another 'Laila Majnu' and the actors were comfortable so we were enjoying it. But at the end my heart jumped and stayed there. It leaves you with a very uncomfortable and incomplete feeling due to the abrupt end. Wonder why Karan Johar actually made this like this.
