Best of Ajay Devgan Movies: One of the best actor in Hindi movies

Story of a tumultuous and complex relationship between a father (Mohan Agashe) and son (Ajay Devgan), set against the backdrop of a thriving kidnapping industry in the Hindi heartland of Bihar.

Gangajal is a dark and ultra-violent movie; darker than Ardh Satya, more violent than Shool.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh is one of Indian cinema's most ambitious projects to date. After three years of painstaking research and set construction, veteran film maker Raj Kumar Santoshi and actor Ajay Devgan shot the film in a short stretch of six months. The film released early due to competition from other films dealing with roughly the same subject. Overall it's a pretty solid film but one can't help shake the feeling that it could have been a far superior product if it had been worked on for a short while longer.

Mallik is a henchman of Aslam Bhai, a Mumbai underworld kingpin. He inducts local hothead Chandu into the gang, and the two of them soon form a formidable faction within the gang, eventually displacing Aslam. As the empire grows, however, the two of them start drifting apart.

Continuity: 8 police officers, which were supposed to bring Dr. Iqbal Ansari back to Mumbai, were shot dead in cold blood by an unknown group, assumed terrorists. The Police Chief decides to send a team of 5 police officers to bring him; it doesn't explain what these 5 officers had which was so special, which the other 8 obviously didn't have

An unemployed Manoj (alias Manu) is told by his mother that they need some money for his sister's forthcoming marriage, and he sets out to find some. For this purpose, he visits his former Calcutta-based girlfriend, Neerj alias Neeru, whom he was to marry, but who preferred to marry someone wealthier, in Calcutta. He rings the doorbell, and the door is answered by Neerja herself, and he is invited inside. They talk and update each other on their lives. Neerja puts on Manoj's raincoat, so she could go out and buy something to cook for him. She warns him not to open the door nor let anyone in. After Neerja leaves a man knocks on the door, and requests entry into the house to use the toilet. Manoj opens the door and lets the male use the facilities. When this male finishes his business, he refuses to leave, and sits and talks with Manoj. It is during this conversation that Manoj finds out the stark truth behind Neerja, her husband, and their married life.

What a thriller

Watch or Not?: Definitely watch it as there is hardly any such good movies in Bollywood. and of course there is Ajay Devgan + Paresh Rawal.

Kolkata-based Arjun Balchandran is a slacker, lives a wealthy lifestyle and is in love with Mira and is all set to re-locate to the United States of America. Then he meets with Michael Mukherjee, who was also preparing to re-locate to the United States, but changes his mind and instead becomes involved with him in opposing a politician named Prosonjit Bhattacharya from getting involved in college and university elections - so much so that Prosonjit decides to do away with Michael and in order to do this hires a goon named Lallan, who was originally born in Uttar Pradesh, but has since got married to Sashi, and is now settled in Kolkata. Watch what happens when Lallan accepts Prosonjit's contract and sets about to do what he does best - killing and terrorizing - and with the blessings of politicians from the ruling party - he is virtually unstoppable.

great drama, I can watch it again & again

During March 1993, after his Ambassador car is being fished out of water, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Agnel Wilson, narrates to the Commissioner as to how he commenced his investigation against an underworld gangster, Sultan Mirza. He details how Sultan had survived floods in Madras, shortly after Independence; his arrival in Bombay; and his employment which earned him a mere 25 Paisa daily. Agnel's attempts to rein in Sultan fail, but he keeps tabs on him and his romance with Bollywood actress, Rehana; as well as his new recruit, Shoaib, the son of Sub-Inspector Khan. Agnel will find his investigation slipping out of his hands after Sultan temporarily delegates complete responsibility to Shoaib.

shfaque (Ajay Devgan) is a small town boy aspiring to be a film star in the Hindi film industry. He joins a street theatre group run by a reformed dacoit Sidhu (Pankaj Kapur) who uses street theatre as a medium to bring about an awakening in the masses. Ashfaque struggles to give a creative vent to the actor in him in order to realize his dreams. Ashfaque's determined struggle pays off and he gets a break in films. He gets a new screen name - Sameer Khan. With the passage of time, the roles start becoming better and he moves up the success ladder in a very short time. Soon, he becomes Sameer Khan the superstar - one who can enact any role with finesse, get under the skin of any and every character with ease and walk away with audience applause. Sadly, amidst all adulation and applause, he slowly loses his own identity. He forgets his real self and imbibes all characteristics of the various roles essayed by him on screen...

Raj Dixit lives with his younger brother, Rahul, who is disabled, both mentally and physically, from birth. Raj is also employed full-time, and after work, has the responsibility of looking after Rahul, which leaves him no time for himself. His beautiful neighbor, Suman Gupta, is attracted to him, but he regards her as a friend only. When Mr. Khanna introduces him to his niece, Madhuri, both instantly falls in love. The only problem is that Madhuri will only marry Raj, if Rahul is institutionalized. Raj agrees to get him admitted in a facility, much to Madhuri's delight, and together they start to plan their marriage, not realizing that things are going to take a turn for the worse

Mrs. Desai is a Bombay-based widow and lives with her singer son, Ajay, his pregnant wife Sonia, and a second son, Anand, who is currently involved in a right-wing organization run by Subodh Malgaonkar. It is on this day that Mrs. Desai goes to offer prayers at her usual place of worship, and it is here that she will be attacked by militants, set ablaze, admitted to the Holy Family Hospital with more than 80% burns, and virtually no chance of surviving. Ajay must now deal with conflicts with Sonia, who wants to leave India, and re-locate to England, where she wants to give birth to her child without any constraints as to religion and caste...

Belonging to a prominent Uttar Pradesh-family of ruthless politicians, Samar Pratap is about to return to his Irish-American girlfriend, Sarah, in the U.S. and obtain a PhD, but cancels his trip when his father, Chandra, is shot dead. He decides to stay put and avenge this slaying but ends up dealing with aspiring politician, Indu Sakseria, who wants to wed him; his brother, Prithviraj, who has been granted control of the Rashtrawadi Party but is facing imprisonment on charges of Assaulting a Police Officer and Sexual Molestation; his cousin, Veerendra, who wants control of the party; and his astute maternal uncle, Brij Gopal - who secretly controls the entire family. Before he could even handle these situations, Sarah arrives in India and will soon accuse him of being a manipulative and conniving politician.

Raj Goyal (Akshaye Khanna) is a renowed and successful attorney. At a musical party he is introduced to Sargam (Urmila Matondkar) by Ashwin Mehta (Vijayendra Ghatge). The next day Ashwin is murdered. Sargam approached Raj to defend the accused, Tarang Bhardwaj (Ajay Devgan). Raj reluctantly accepts, and with the help of a psyciatricist is able to prove that Tarang is innocent. But is Tarang really the person who gives the impression? Or is he Ranjit, another personality in his character, who is capable of killing? Raj's mother is played by Farida Jalal, and Tiku Talsania plays his uncle Ratan. Suresh Oberoi plays the prosecuting attorney, and Mazhar Khan is Ashwin's brother, Abhijeet, who has been stealing song material from Tarang.

The first time Ajay saw Pia, she served him drinks. She affected him more than the alcohol, and he found true love. He was a leading psychiatrist, but she messed up his mind. The first time Pia saw Ajay, he had too much to drink. She watched him make a fool of himself, and was relieved when he passed out. She was a woman who followed her heart, but despite his claims of true love, she had made up her mind. Thus began the story of Ajay and Pia. A love story, that begins at sea. Ajay and Pia develop a strong and special bond. In each other, they find an anchor. They rush into marriage, despite the advice and failing relationships of their friends. But no marriages can be complete without problems, and Ajay and Pia have also have to face hurdles, some of which seem insurmountable.

Sanjana loves Rahul, but Rahul treats Sanjana as a friend. He is attracted to Nisha, and announces that he will be marrying her soon. Sanjana does not take kindly to this, and in her heart hopes to make Rahul change his mind. She hires Shekhar to be her lover/boyfriend, and go out with her, so as to make Rahul jealous. This does not work, Rahul is drawn even closer to Nisha, and Shekhar finds himself falling in love with Sanjana. Sanjana finds herself getting attracted to Shekhar, only to find out that the police, especially Inspector Khan, would like to arrest Shekhar for criminal activities.

Vaidehi (Manisha Koirala) gets married to Raghuvir (Jackie Shroff), an NRI. Suffering the agony of an unhappy marriage, she decides to run away from him when she learns that she is pregnant and he wants to take the child away from her. In her pursuit for freedom, she meets Mythili (Mahima Chaudhury) a bride-to-be, Janaki (Madhuri Dixit) a theatre artist and Ramdulari (Rekha) a village midwife - all of whom are victims of male chauvinism. They however refuse to be put down and fight for their rights.

Nahar Singh's (Amrish Puri) fore-fathers and he have sworn to protect the family and heirs of powerful underworld don, Jodhabhai and his heirs for generations. Nahar would like his son, Ishaan (Ajay Devgan) to continue this tradition, to which he is willing as he friendly with Jodhabhai's son, Sunny (Rahul Bose). Ishaan's vow begins to falter when he falls in love with Suman Dev (Tabu). Things gets even more complicated when Suman comes forward to testify that she witnessed Sunny's car being driven from the scene of a multiple homicide. Sunny finds this out and asks Ishaan to chose between him and Suman, and Ishaan choses Suman. Things escalate out of control when Nahar is killed; and Ishaan becomes a prime suspect in the multiple-family homicide.

CBI Officer Akram Sheikh (Sunil Shetty) is on the verge of nabbing three dreaded Pakistan-backed arms dealers , the brothers Ali (Arbaaz Khan) and Abbas (Sanjay Kapoor) and their common moll Laila (Isha Koppikar) . When Sheikh busts an important arms deal conducted by his three targets , Ali-Abbas join forces with Gopal (Chunky Pandey) , a corrupt scientist to get hold of a deadly virus and take the tourists at the Elphinstone Jail resort as hostage . Akram Sheikh is now compelled to get help from Rachit (Ajay Devgan) , a criminal serving jail time who was a former associate of Ali-Abbas and the only person in history to have successfully escaped the Elphinstone jail . Along with a commando team , they try to pull off a rescue attempt by breaking in the jail and rescuing the hostages

'Toonpur Ka Superrhero' is Bollywood's first live-action 3D animation combo movie. It's impressive to see how Indian cinema has come far in developing the animation. The work in this movie may not have reached the level of Pixar but it's still very good and the best I've seen from India. The motion and details were a little limited, the greenscreen filter was dreadful and the colours and toning was too strong but the characters looked lively. I only found the voice acting to be too loud and the humour was sometimes way overdone, which brings us to the writing. The script is just flat and full of clichés. The pacing is also inconsistent. At times its very slow and the characters' loudness really gets on your nerves but the latter portion is heavily rushed. Anu Malik's music is quite poor and it only slows down the pace. Ajay Devgan is competent. I have always found him to be weak in comedy but here he manages to make the viewer laugh in a couple of sequences. Sadly, Kajol is wasted even though she dominates the screen with her few scenes. 'Toonpur Ka Superrhero' shows that Bollywood is improving in its animation department but unfortunately it fails in the entertainment department.

Ajay's Debut !!Nagesh war (Amrish Puri) alias "Don" heads a vaster criminal empire. He has an only son, Ajay (Ajay Devgan), who is completely familiar with his dad and his business. So is Ajay's wife (Madhoo), who would like to put an end to all these criminal activities. When Nageshwar starts showing signs of aging, he decides that it is now time for Ajay to take over from him. Ajay does so, however, a number of Nageshwar's associates are unhappy, embittered, and critical of this choice, and as a result they, under the leadership of Shankar Dhanraj (Raza Murad) kidnap Ajay's son, Gopal, and hold him for ransom. Will Nageshwar negotiate his grandson's release, or will his grandson be another sacrifice of his "empire"? How will Ajay and his wife react to this?Ajay Devgan,Madhoo and Amrish Puri acts very good.Its watch worth.I give 10/10.
