"Bigger, badder, and better than ever!" was the tagline and in some ways that was quite accurate. The game is about twice as long as the previous installment, twice as hard, and Lara now has a lot more moves: the ability to sprint, crawl and monkey-swing across vines and bars. Be prepared for an excruciatingly brutal test!

20 levels (20+ hours of gameplay) Areas explored: India, Nevada, South Pacific, London, Antarctica Difficulty: 9/10

A stand alone expansion, TR The Lost Artifact, included 6 levels in diverse locations following the same timeline as TR3.

6 levels (4 + hours of gameplay) Difficulty: 8/10

This game is the longest volume yet, and often considered the most difficult with even more emphasis on puzzle-solving.

A little bit easier to beat than the previous two installments, but still an enjoyable adventure. A few differences are Lara can now tightrope-walk and swing on parallel bars.

The game everybody loves to hate, due mostly because of a faulty camera which leads to some real difficulty with the controls. Besides that, the game has a major graphics update and the game feels much more RPG styled with less emphasis on the shoot-em-up action.

29 levels (12+ hours of gameplay) Areas explored: Paris, Prague Difficulty: 8/10

Great graphics, more melee combat, a grappling hook, and an easier game to beat than any Tomb Raider preceding it! What the game lacks in length it makes up for in replayability, with rewards for beating time trials and collecting all the secrets.

TR1 remade. Finally the familiar massive level designs and brain-bending puzzles, only this time with superb graphics, just the way TR should be!

Basically like Legend with fewer boss battles and a slightly better graphics engine. Playing once through the game is about equal to Legend, but there's a lot fewer secrets and bonus content.
