Best Batmans (Modern Era)
by Recon865 | created - 04 Mar 2013 | updated - 04 Mar 2013 | Public4 actors ranked by better actors as Batman. There's a big gap between #2 and #3.
1. Christian Bale
Actor | The Dark Knight
Christian Charles Philip Bale was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK on January 30, 1974, to English parents Jennifer "Jenny" (James) and David Bale. His mother was a circus performer and his father, who was born in South Africa, was a commercial pilot. The family lived in different countries ...
Nailed it. Not a big fan of him overall, but this role is his.
2. Michael Keaton
Actor | Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)
Quirky, inventive and handsome American actor Michael Keaton first achieved major fame with his door-busting performance as fast-talking ideas man Bill Blazejowski, alongside a nerdish morgue attendant (Henry Winkler), in Night Shift (1982). He played further comedic roles in Mr. Mom (1983), Johnny...
Unlikely choice for Batman's come-back since Adam West, especially since Tim Burton's boy is Johnny Depp. But a pleasant surprise it was as Keaton played Batman quite well. Although I liked him better with the mask on - I didn't buy him as Bruce Wayne - Keaton, is more of the "every guy."
3. George Clooney
Actor | The Ides of March
George Timothy Clooney was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Nina Bruce (née Warren), a former beauty pageant queen, and Nick Clooney, a former anchorman and television host (who was also the brother of singer Rosemary Clooney). He has Irish, English, and German ancestry. Clooney ...
Well the playboy side I bought - but it was almost as if George dialed this perform in.
4. Val Kilmer
Actor | The Doors
Val Kilmer was born in Los Angeles, California, to Gladys Swanette (Ekstadt) and Eugene Dorris Kilmer, who was a real estate developer and aerospace equipment distributor. His mother, born in Indiana, was from a Swedish family, and his father was from Texas. Val studied at Hollywood's ...
I think too many people told Val he was a great actor when he was young and it's gone to his head (and now his thighs). A great actor makes us believe that he is someone different - can morph into different roles - and you never even think about the actor themself. Kilmer is not this - As a matter of fact every role he "plays" has the common denominator that his his character appears to be popmous. But this is NOT the role - this is Kilmer - POMPOUS. From Real Genius, to The Saint to yes, Batman. Val, you suck!
