“So keep on running sweetheart. You’re a racehorse. I love you,” Hawn concluded.
Hudson expressed her gratitude to her mom in the comment section, saying, “Haha! Mama you’re the best! Being fast is still my favourite accomplishment. Catch me if you can!

Familiar faces, harder questions, higher stakes ...
There's a lot to like about Jeopardy tournaments that bring back the show's top-performing contestants and pit them head-to-head in single-elimination battle royales.
But as the film studio execs who kept blowing up the superhero franchise until it exploded have recently learned the hard way, too much of a good thing can lead to alienated audiences.
And now more than ever, once you lose 'em, it's hard to win 'em back.
To be clear, there's no indication that Jeopardy's recent string of tournaments -- the longest in series history -- has had a negative impact on the show's ratings.
But "tournament fatigue" has become a buzzword in the Jeopardy-obsessed corners of social media, and media outlets have begun running editorials alleging that the show has lost its way by focusing too much on past victors.

After weeks of twists and turns, Jeopardy! has finally crowned the winner of the 2024 Tournament of Champions.
Yogesh Raut towered above the competition throughout the finals, and his third victory allowed him to take the overall win.
Tuesday’s shocking episode featured the power going back and forth between him and Troy Meyer.
Ben Chan, who turned in another strong showing throughout the Tournament of Champions, struggled to keep up the pace.
Ultimately, Raut’s win came after he pulled ahead of Meyer when his opponent got the answer wrong at the start of Final Jeopardy!
Raut’s win secured him a healthy $250,000 prize and an entry in the upcoming Jeopardy! Masters tournament.
Changes are on the horizon for Jeopardy!
Yes, the show is all about tournaments these days and recycling competitors, but that will change very soon.

Ike Barinholtz has made Jeopardy! history with his appearance in the Tournament of Champions.
The actor and comedian is the first winner of Celebrity Jeopardy! ever to be invited to participate in the tournament, and his fans are happy to see it.
The 47-year-old father of three qualified for the Tournament of Champions following his Celebrity Jeopardy! win last year, winning $1 million for charity.
Ike was admittedly thrilled about the opportunity and recently told Vulture that he “still can’t believe” it happened.
Ike revealed that growing up, he would watch Jeopardy! with his parents, who were huge fans of the trivia show, and he grew to love the show just as much.
So when Jeopardy!’s executive producer, Michael Davies, asked him to appear in the Tournament of Champions, he responded, “Yes, sir!”
Ike Barinholtz says a Stanley Kubrick film is to thank for his Jeopardy! victory

Jeopardy!‘s Tournament of Champions has reached the semifinals, and with it comes the end of a long-running streak for one of its players as Jared Watson, Ben Chan, and Ike Barinholtz went head-to-head in the March 7 game. Having already won their quarterfinal games to reach this round, the players already showed promise for potential success in the Tournament, but out of the three, only two knew what it was like to lose a game of Jeopardy!… until now. That’s because Ike Barinholtz, the producer, writer, and actor — who was a Celebrity Jeopardy! champion — lost his first game in this semifinal round. As the Celebrity Jeopardy! champion, Barinholtz won every round in that tournament and continued the winning streak upon entering the Tournament of Champions, but the fun and games came to an end as he and Jared Watson lost out to 9-game champion Ben Chan. Jeopardy!‘s Tournament of Champions is bigger than ever this year.
To celebrate its 40th season, the American trivia institution invited a record-breaking 27 contestants to its hallowed annual tourney featuring the previous season’s best champions. (It also certainly didn’t hurt that the show needed to add some extra tournaments for ToC eligibility due to the Hollywood writers strike messing with its usual production schedule).
The expanded contestant count has given Jeopardy! the opportunity to invite back some intriguing contenders who didn’t hit the required benchmark of at least five wins in their initial run. It’s also meant that the show has gotten to try something it’s never done before: bring on a Celebrity Jeopardy! champion to contend with the “real” trivia masters.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the March 4 episode of Jeopardy!] Jeopardy! features a first with its Tournament of Champions in 2024: an actor, who won Celebrity Jeopardy!, taking part. Ike Barinholtz won three games, like one of his opponents Melissa Klapper; the third player in the March 4 quarterfinal, Ray Lalonde, won 13. Barinholtz started off great, with the first correct answer (in Vacation Spots for $800). He was in third after the first break, when host Ken Jennings asked him what it’s like to be the first Celebrity Jeopardy! champion to appear in the Tournament of Champions. “I feel like a guinea pig a little bit, but I like guinea pigs, they’re adorable, like me. But yeah, it’s an honor to be here.” Barinholtz shared. “A lot of people were giving me well wishes, and a lot of them were tinged with the tone of, ‘I thought you were dumb,’ and I am, full disclosure, but it was...

Jeopardy!‘s Tournament of Champions is making way for a first as actor Ike Barinholtz, the champion of Celebrity Jeopardy!, enters the competition among regular game players. The former Mindy Project actor is set to compete against 13-game champion Ray Lalonde and 3-day champion Melissa Klapper in the Quarterfinals. Considering Barinholtz competed in the Celebrity version of the series that is more about raising funds for charity than answering hard clues, does that mean he’s equipped for regular game success? Having won three games himself, Barinholtz isn’t a stranger to the format at this point. According to the actor, his success with the trivia game show shouldn’t be shocking, as he told The Hollywood Reporter, “The people who know me were not surprised because I’m a trivia freak — just an endless source of useless knowledge. But a lot of characters I’ve played are, oh, I...

It’s not long now until the long-awaited Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions, where the best of the best will battle it out for ultimate trivia supremacy. However, one person who won’t be participating is Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter, who recently won the second season of Celebrity Jeopardy! Some fans have been wondering why that’s the case, especially as previous Celebrity Jeopardy! champ Ike Barinholtz will be competing in the Toc. “I’m seeing on the Toc board that Ike Barinholtz from the 1st season of Celebrity Jeopardy, will be part of the Toc, so I don’t see why Lisa wouldn’t be there either,” one viewer commented on the Jeopardy! Reddit forum. As other fans explained, the reason for this is simply due to production and scheduling delays caused by last summer’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Under normal circumstances, the 2023 Toc would have already aired by now,...

Plot: An 11-year-old boy with an active imagination confronts his fears when a giant, smiling creature of the night, Dark, invites him on a transformative journey through the hours of darkness.
Review: During a time when mental health awareness in young people is more important than ever, we must address the fragility of the mind in as many arenas as possible. Most children don’t respond well to an adult who isn’t their parent telling them what to do. You must circumvent the awkward exchange and introduce them to something unique to get through to them. One way to do this is through the power of storytelling. The right story can create a sense of comfort, regardless of how far-fetched the plot or characters appear. Taking a page out of the Pixar playbook and animating entities turned into characters, DreamWorks Animation’s latest feature Orion and the Dark recalls ‘toons like Inside Out and Elemental as it tells the story of a young kid and his encounters with his greatest fear, the Dark.
Fortunately for adults who will likely have to sit through this with their kids, Dwa was smart enough to hire Oscar winner Charlie Kaufman to take on the task of bringing Emma Yarlett’s book to the screen. Basically the premise is intact, but Kaufman has expanded this world into Pixar territory where instead of Inside Out’s gang of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Anxiety and Disgust we get entities like Dark, Light, Insomnia, Quiet, Sleep, Unexplained Noises, and Dreams to help tell the tale of Orion, a kid full of neuroses and unchecked fears...

Farewell James Corden, hello Taylor Tomlinson. CBS unveiled its new late-night show, After Midnight, last night in the time slot following The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Instead of a talk show like The Late Late Show, After Midnight is a reboot of Comedy Central’s popular game show @midnight, which ran for 600 episodes.
For its debut, Tomlinson enlisted fellow comedians Whitney Cummings, Aparna Nancherla, and Kurt Braunohler, who battled it out in a series of improvised games. Tomlinson joked that the grand prize was “my father’s approval.” “It is rare but winnable,...

After Midnight finally made its debut January 16 in the timeslot formerly held by James Corden.
Hosted by comedian Taylor Tomlinson, the show is a reboot of the old Comedy Central game show @midnight, which ran for 600 episodes on the sibling Paramount-owned network. For those who didn’t see the original version, imagine a combination of Who’s Line Is It Anyway? and Tosh 2.0: it’s an internet-themed panel game show that challenges comedians to come up with the best yuks during a series of improv games.
For the premiere, Whitney Cummings battled it out against Aparna Nancherla (former writer on Late Night with Seth Meyers) and Kurt Braunohler (former host of IFC’s Bunk) in front of a studio audience for the grand prize of “my father’s approval,” quipped Tomlinson. “It is rare but winnable.”
“We are taking the internet and desperately trying to make it fun,...

CBS gave its new late night series “After Midnight” a bit of a soft launch on Tuesday night, premiering the show with minimal fanfare in its 12:37 a.m. timeslot behind “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Comedian Taylor Tomlinson hosts the series, which tapes on the Paramount lot in Hollywood.
The decision to keep the “After Midnight” premiere lowkey is by design: Allow the new show to find its voice over the next few weeks, prior to the Super Bowl and return of first-run scripted series in February, when more eyeballs will be back at the broadcast networks.
“I’m Taylor Tomlinson and this is ‘After Midnight, where three comedians enter, one wins and two will regret participating,” she said in opening the first episode. “We’re taking the internet and desperately trying to make it fun. It’s gonna be fun, right? Comedians, you’ll be competing for...

After his uncredited studio work on Kung Fu Panda 2‘s script and his independent feature Anomalisa, Charlie Kaufman is expanding his animation resume. He’s scripted the new DreamWorks animation Orion and the Dark, which is directed by Sean Charmatz and arrives on Netflix in just a few weeks. With a voice cast featuring Jacob Tremblay, Paul Walter Hauser, Angela Bassett, Colin Hanks, Natasia Demetriou, Golda Rosheuvel, Nat Faxon, Aparna Nancherla, Ike Barinholtz, Carla Gugino, and, yes, even Werner Herzog, the first trailer has now arrived today.
Here’s the synopsis: “Orion seems a lot like your average elementary school kid –– shy, unassuming, harboring a secret crush. But underneath his seemingly normal exterior, Orion is a ball of adolescent anxiety, completely consumed by irrational fears of bees, dogs, the ocean, cell phone waves, murderous gutter clowns, even falling off a cliff. But of all his fears, the thing he...
