Heidi Gardner is opening up about her time with Travis Kelce when he was the Saturday Night Live host in March 2023, following the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl.
The SNL castmember stopped by Today with Hoda & Jenna on Friday, where she discussed how she initially suggested to Lorne Michaels that Kelce host the sketch comedy series before he made it big, with the hosts joking that Gardner loved him before Taylor Swift did.
As a Kansas City, Missouri, native, the comedian told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager she was “very protective” of the Chiefs tight end. She added, “I asked him questions, which also, as a sports fan, I’m just interested in, but I was like, ‘On game day, what do you eat?’ And he was like, ‘Uncrustables. I’m just pounding Uncrustables.'”

Heidi Gardner Reflects on Travis Kelce’s SNL Sketch Last year, Heidi Gardner was instrumental in enlisting Travis Kelce for a memorable Saturday Night Live appearance, which included a particularly cheeky bedroom skit. She recalled, “It was cool because right before dress rehearsal, we were in a scene where we — sorry, Taylor — were in bed together.” Kelce humorously admitted to Gardner, I’ve been eating Uncrustables all day. Gardner’s Protégé Moment with Kelce Gardner was openly protective of Kelce as he prepared for his hosting duties. She shared that her approach was all about making him feel at ease. I

Ryan Gosling’s The Fall Guy promised extreme action and even intense drama, and more than the fight sequences, the soundtracks of the movie were also carefully curated. A lot of discussion and deliberation went on inside the room to pick the most appropriate songs for every scene.
Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy
There’s a variety of soundtracks used in The Fall Guy. From the heart-wrenching Taylor Swift break-up song ‘All Too Well’ to a karaoke version of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Genie in a Bottle’, fans would not be able to guess what track comes next.
Ryan Gosling Did Not Like One Of The Fall Guy’s Main Soundtracks
The Fall Guy also featured some classic hits like the 1979 Kiss song ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’, but it almost did not make the cut as everyone seemed to hate it. Director David Leitch was the one who proposed the idea.

Deadpool 2 revolved around the Merc with the Mouth's unlikely friendship with Cable, while Deadpool and Wolverine will put the spotlight on...well, the title gives it away!
There's been some confusion about Cable's absence given his use of time travel and Josh Brolin has said on multiple occasions he's not set to appear in the threequel. Now, though, the Dune: Part Two star seems to be hinting that he is the movie!
Interestingly, reshoots are currently taking place with the main intention being to add more cameos to Deadpool & Wolverine. Could that be what's led to Brolin's apparent return as Cable?
"I don't know where it puts me. I'd like to know, though, because a lot of people are asking. Was I there? Did I forget?" the actor teases in the video below. "You know, Ryan Reynolds hit me up the other day and he said, 'Congratulations on Dune.

2023 was not a good year for Disney at the box office. With the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, their films lost money according to Deadline’s”2023 Most Valuable Blockbuster Tournament” list by Anthony D’Alessandro. ‘Guardians 3’ was just barely in the top 10 as it was in 9th place. To put this into perspective, tenth place was a “Paw Patrol” film.
In fact, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour movie beat all the Disney films and “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” which was released theatrically and on streaming simultaneously.
Four Disney films flopped, and ‘The Marvels’ was the biggest loser. Of the bottom five films, only’ The Flash’ was a non-Disney-owned film.
‘The Marvels’
According to Deadline’s estimates, the film lost $237 million, but that is after you add in home entertainment and TV/streaming numbers. That is a lot of money to lose! It would have been worse without Home video and TV/streaming revenue.

This is a great moment to be the Pet Shop Boys. The ultimate Eighties synth-pop duo are having a renaissance right now, just in time for the 40th anniversary of their classic hit “West End Girls.” They have a brilliant new album, Nonetheless, their zippiest of this century and one of their best ever. New fans are discovering them in films like Saltburn and All of Us Strangers. They even scored the ultimate 2024 status symbol: a beef with Drake, after Aubrey Graham used “West End Girls” without permission for “All The Parties.

I’ve predicted Megalopolis, anticipated as it is, will have a clear dividing point: the cultural commentariat hoping to see “another film by the director of The Godfather” and those who appreciate “something that looks and sounds like a Star Wars prequel.” I am very firmly in the latter, was duly excited by the first image, and can only be pleased with the time-stopping debut teaser, arriving today via Le Pacte.
It comes with a sad addenedum. Coppola, sharing the teaser on Instagram, noted:
Megalopolis has always been a film dedicated to my dear wife Eleanor. I really had hoped to celebrate her birthday together this May 4th. But sadly that was not to be, so let me share with everyone a gift on her behalf.

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses plot elements from “The Fall Guy,” now playing in theaters.
Long before Taylor Swift embarked on the Eras Tour, director David Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick had the idea to use “All Too Well” as a key moment in “The Fall Guy.”
McCormick, a self-professed Swiftie, and Leitch were trying to find a fresh and contemporary song to fit into a particular scene.
In the film, Ryan Gosling plays Colt Seavers, one of Hollywood’s top stuntmen. After experiencing an on-set accident, he falls off the grid for 18 months, ghosting aspiring director Jody (Emily Blunt), someone he also happens to be dating. The two awkwardly reunite on the set of her directorial debut, and when they wrap their first day, Colt retreats to his pickup truck reflecting on happier times with Jody.
McCormick thought a Swift song would be perfect for that scene, and even Gosling agreed.

Once a Kardashian, always a Kardashian is subject to change when you become a Barker, am I right?
It’s a well-known fact that the names of all the Kardashian females start with the letter ‘K,’ from Kourtney to Kim, to Khloe, so it’s only natural for their initials to be ‘K.K.’ well, except for the Jenners; Kris, Kendall and Kylie who might go with ‘K.J.’
Anyway, Kourtney’s initials is ‘K.K’ but it seems like she is ready to give it up and switch to her husband Tavis’ surname which is Barker.
The 45-year-old who shares children Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, with ex-Scott Disick, and stepchildren Atiana, 25, Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, as well as baby Rocky, 5 months with husband Travis, recently received a gift from her youngest sister Kylie’s new fashion brand. The item is a pair of blue “Khy by Kylie Jenner” jeans with her initials ‘K.

Mike Flanagan, the prolific filmmaker behind “The Haunting of Hill House,” “Doctor Sleep” and “The Fall of the House of Usher,” is in talks to direct “The Exorcist” sequel for Universal and Blumhouse, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap. The source stressed it’s early days and a deal is far from guaranteed, but there is interest from both sides and Flanagan has a take on the material.
Universal directed TheWrap’s inquiry to Blumhouse, who had no comment.
In 2021, Universal shelled out $400 million for the rights to the “Exorcist” franchise and planned a trilogy of films, but director and cowriter David Gordon Green exited the series after directing last year’s “The Exorcist: Believer,” despite having mapped out the next two films.

Taylor Swift is very easily at a career peak right now, at a level that most artists won’t ever come close to. Her popularity has skyrocketed ever since her “Eras” tour, which is the highest grossing tour of all time (and isn’t even over yet). Swift’s 2024 has already been quite busy, starting with two Grammys for “Midnights” in February, including a fourth Album of the Year award, which made her the first artist to win that many AOTYs, an impressive feat considering Swift’s career is not even 20-years-old yet. On top of that, Swift put out another new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” that will likely also compete for a win in that category and others. Now that the album has had some time to marinate in the pop cultural landscape, how do her chances look?

The songs seemingly referenced their long-standing feud involving Kim and her ex-husband Kanye West. Taylor even brought their children into it. Their feud impacted Kim’s Instagram following.
She lost 100,000 followers on Instagram after those two scratching tracks dropped. The reality star isn’t happy with Taylor mentioning their feud once again.

Kendrick Lamar has dropped a new Drake diss track, “6:16 in LA,” just days after heating up their feud with “euphoria.” Stream it below.
The title of “6:16 in LA” likely refers to Father’s Day, which falls on June 16th this year, digging back into one of Drake’s sore spots of being exposed as an allegedly absentee father. At the same time, Kendrick describes being a father to his own kids with the lyrics, “Put my children to sleep, with a prayer, then close my eyes, definition of peace.”
Adding another layer, Variety has confirmed Taylor Swift’s frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff co-produced the diss track, winking at Drake’s name-drop of the pop star on previous diss track “Push Ups.”
On the track, Kendrick preys further on Drake’s insecurities, claiming his team isn’t loyal. “Have you ever thought that Ovo was workin’ for me?” Kendrick raps.

Taylor Swift might sing on her new album Midnights that it “must be exhausting always rooting for the antihero” — but we all know watching them never, ever gets old.
The new song “Anti-Hero” (and its corresponding music video) conjures everything TV and movie lovers know about the antihero character: an outsider brimming with inner turmoil, staring directly at the sun but never in the mirror.
If the track has you itching to spend time with a few more antiheroes, look no further — we’ve rounded up seven shows and movies with those complicated characters you love to root for … even if you know you maybe shouldn’t. (You can also check out the Antiheroes and Outsiders category for even more.)...

You asked, and Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid answered. So did Delainey Hayles, Eric Bogosian, and Assad Zaman! In TV Insider’s exclusive interview (embedded above), the stars of AMC‘s Interview With the Vampire Season 2 answer fan questions submitted to us on social media. One question on many fans’ minds were what songs the cast would use to describe their character’s arcs this season. For Anderson, Taylor Swift‘s “Anti-Hero” rings true. For Reid, it’s Fiona Apple‘s “Criminal.” Bogosian and Hayles can’t help but laugh at their answers, “Walk on the Wild Side” by Lou Reed and “Livin’ in the Sunlight, Lovin’ in the Moonlight” by Maurice Chavalier. (Dive back into Zaman’s fan questions video here.) Another big question: What surprised the cast most about this season? Addressing the potential pending lawsuit from the Department of Justice against Live Nation Tuesday, Live Nation CFO and President Joe Berchtold said the company is about to begin talks with senior division leadership at the DOJ, but that he does not believe separating Live Nation and Ticketmaster will be the end result.
“Based on the issues we know about, we don’t believe a breakup of Live Nation and Ticketmaster would be a legally permissible remedy,” said Live Nation CFO and president Joe Berchtold.
Any lawsuit would typically come after those talks are concluded, he added. But Berchtold reiterated that the company believes the DOJ investigation is more focused on specific business practices, rather than the Live Nation merger with Ticketmaster, which took place in 2010 and was approved by the DOJ.
“Very little of the conduct the DOJ has raised with us relates to the combination of ticketing and promotion resulting from the merger,...

If there was a list of the most violent games ever, Mortal Kombat and the Grand Theft Auto franchise would surely be on it. Which other games would make it to the list? When it comes to violence in video games, we have a long list.
So, it is unsurprising that one of the first things people look for in games is combat mechanics. How smooth is it? How responsive are the combat controls? These are the questions that keep getting asked in community forums. But what of the amount of violence? Can violence even be quantified?

TikTok and Universal Music Group (Umg) have settled their dispute. The two parties have agreed on a new licensing agreement that will return the latter company’s catalog — including songs from Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish — to TikTok’s music library.
Tracks from Umg artists were muted on TikTok for three months as a result of an ongoing disagreement between the “big three” label and ByteDance’s buzzy video app. In February, Umg insisted that TikTok had to address “three critical issues” before a new deal could be reached. Those sticking points included concerns about AI, TikTok’s lowball offer during negotiations, and the “content adjacency issues” that pop up when music is paired with offensive content.
A new “multi-dimensional” agreement between TikTok and Umg will alleviate those concerns. The new deal prioritizes improved remuneration for Umg’s songwriters and artists while offering promotional opportunities and protections against AI.

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds first shared the screen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but Logan and Wade Wilson's first true team-up will take place in this summer's Deadpool & Wolverine.
However, despite the shared title, Ryan Reynolds tells Empire Online to expect "the most Deadpool movie in the history of Deadpool." That doesn't mean he hasn't had the time of his life working with Jackman as these iconic Marvel superheroes, though!
"As much as I take the ever-loving f*cking piss out of him each and every day, underneath that is a genuine love story," the actor says, explaining that their camaraderie bled into the relationship between Deadpool and Wolverine.
"As adversarial as we are in the movie, the undercurrent is one of real love," Reynolds adds. "Getting to spend time with my two closest friends, and waking up in the morning with a passionate devotion to say something so...

Arriving on Prime Video today, "The Idea of You" (read our review) stars Anne Hathaway as Soléne, a 40-year old art gallery curator who finds herself in a surprising, romantic meet-cute with Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), a 24-year old who just so happens to be part of the famous (fictional) boy band called August Moon. But can their blossoming romance survive the hellish landscape of public judgment and media scrutiny that comes with life in the celebrity limelight?
"The Idea of You" (watch the trailer) is based on the best-selling romance novel of the same name by Robinne Lee, which many believe to be inspired by chart-topping singer Harry Styles, once a member of the boy band One Direction, and his well-documented romantic encounters with older women. “Sabrina Night Live ,” Carpenter wrote on Instagram sharing the news.
As many Swifties noticed about the May 18 SNL, there’s a Taylor Swift-tinged invisible string tying Gyllenhaal to Carpenter. The Brokeback Mountain actor dated Swift, whom Carpenter opened for on the Eras Tour over the last several months.

Emily Blunt is grateful for Taylor Swift’s kind gesture to her oldest daughter, Hazel.
While appearing on The Howard Stern Show earlier in the week, Blunt recalled the superstar singer-songwriter meeting her kids and gushed that Swift is the “nicest.”
“She was so nice to my kids,” said the Fall Guy star. “My oldest kid had just cut all of her hair off. It was this very short haircut that she was very self-conscious about. And Taylor Swift goes, ‘God, look at you! You’re just like this ’60s beatnik cool kid. I love your style.'”
Blunt recalled that in that moment, she thought Hazel “was going to faint.” “It was the best thing anyone’s ever done for my child,” she said.
Stern, who has three daughters, was also touched by Swift’s act of kindness. “That’s so sweet that she did that,” he said. However,...

Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge has applauded a new music licensing deal with TikTok which ends a recent months-long standoff over royalties to be paid out around the social media platform.
“It’s another significant step we’ve taken to guide the industry’s evolution to a future where human artistry must be respected,” Grange told an analyst call after the release of his company’s first quarter financial results. He argued the resolution of the TikTok dispute had impacts beyond a single social media platform.
“The income from social media is increasingly important income to artists, songwriters, labels and publishers, which is why we’ve pushed so hard and we will continue to push hard to protect and to develop it,” Grange warned.
“Ultimately, the point of engaging in such conflicts is to find a higher common ground from which new and greater progress can be made.

Taylor Swift might have just confirmed a theory!
The 34-year-old singer-songwriter has seemingly signed off on a Swiftie’s theory, connecting 2022′s Midnights to 2024′s The Tortured Poets Department.
On her song “Fortnight” on the new album, Taylor sings: “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me.”
Keep reading to find out more…
On the last song on Midnights, “Hits Different,” she asks “Is that your key in the door / Is it Ok? / Is it you? / Or have they come to take me away?”
User Patty Eminger pointed out what seems to be a clear link between the two, adding: “The album is just pure mania, and I heard someone describe it as ‘Tolerate It’ [from 2020’s Evermore] on meth, and I was like, ‘Perfect, just what I wanted.’”
Plenty of the Swifties in the comments agreed, and pointed out that Taylor “liked” the video, thus seemingly confirming his theory.

Following the release of that awesome second trailer, Marvel Studios has started ramping up its Deadpool & Wolverine promotion in a big way. Today, that comes in the form of two new Empire Magazine covers.
The first features never-before-seen shots of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman suited up, though the latter still doesn't have his mask on.
It's interesting that Marvel Studios is making an effort to put Jackman's face front and centre in marketing, but seems happy to cover up Reynolds'. The fact Wade Wilson is horribly scarred is no doubt part of the reason, though this also speaks to the popularity of the Merc with the Mouth and the fact the character alone is a major selling point.
Joining them on the cover is the weirdly adorable Dogpool.
We also have a second cover featuring a suitably wacky cartoon take on the trio, and Wolverine does don a mask for that piece.

It’s time for some “CSI: Nielsen Ratings.”
CBS is set to win the 2023-24 season as the most-watched network — again — it’s now been 16 straight seasons of the same. CBS has now broken broadcast television’s longest winning streak on record, which was also CBS: From 1955 to 1970, when “Gunsmoke,” “The Andy Griffith Show,” and (some of) “I Love Lucy” ruled its airwaves.
Fast-forward 50 years to the current TV season, which runs from fall (September) through spring (May), and CBS has won 21 of the past 22 years. CBS is also poised to win the season among adults 18-49, long-considered the key demographic for advertisers, as well as its own target market, viewers 25-54. It is also number 1 this year among 18-34-year-olds; Super Bowl Lviii sure helped CBS pull those victories out of its football helmet.

Hold on to your butts, Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone are re-teaming for the new movie Checkmate, according to the Hollywood Reporter. It’s an adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s upcoming non-fiction book of the same name, which dives into a 2022 scandal that rocked the chess world.
Fielder and Stone last blew our minds with The Curse, a black comedy at Showtime. This time around Fielder is set to direct while Stone’s Fruit Tree banner will produce. Challengers and The Fall Guy prove that the movie star is still alive – and can make a huge difference to a film’s success. A few thoughts…
The movie star is dead. Or at least our idea of stardom may have drastically changed. After streaming has become a credible rival to cinemas, it’s not so much star power that necessarily gets people to spend their hard-earned money on a movie ticket. Sure, the Swifties ran to the cinemas to watch The Eras Tour, but Taylor Swift is hardly a movie star, despite her turn in Cats.
Ana De Armas blames social media for the lack of movie stars. “I feel like the new generations don’t have that concept, because of social media,” de Armas told Vanity Fair in 2023. “There is so much information out there and oversharing. The concept of a movie star is someone untouchable you only see onscreen.

Universal Music Group and TikTok have reached a new licensing agreement, the companies announced, ending their months-long dispute and bringing Umg’s catalog back to the short-form video platform.
Umg first announced in an open letter at the end of January that it hadn’t reached an agreement with TikTok, citing several issues including low payment rates as well as concerns about AI music on the platform. The companies didn’t specify financial details of the new agreement but said there’d be “improved remuneration” for Umg artists and songwriters.

Universal Music Group and TikTok have announced a new “multi-dimensional” licensing agreement that will return music from Umg’s family of artists, songwriters and labels to the short video platform.
Earlier this year, Universal Music pulled its songs from TikTok, citing financial terms and concerns about inadequate restrictions on artificial intelligence tools. The catalog of four million songs includes tracks from Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Adele and many others.
The joint agreement announced today “marks a new era of strategic collaboration between the two organizations, built on a shared commitment to help Umg’s artists and songwriters achieve their creative and commercial potential,” the companies said in a statement.
The deal is designed to deliver improved remuneration for Umg’s songwriters and artists, new promotional and engagement opportunities for their recordings and songs and industry-leading protections with respect to generative AI.

Universal Music Group and TikTok have announced a new “multi-dimensional licensing agreement” that will bring to an end a dispute over royalties that saw music from Umg artists such as Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Drake pulled from the social media platform.
Under the agreement, Umg says that its “global family of artists, songwriters and labels and will return their music” to TikTok.
The two companies have been in a months-long, and very public, standoff over the royalties TikTok paid to Umg’s artists, with the music giant ultimately pulling the music from its roster of artists at the end of January.
