"You're just a machine, you don't understand." Check out this new sci-fi short film titled Webcam that is now streaming on the YouTube channel Dust for everyone to enjoy. Webcam is a short film co-written and directed by Spanish filmmaker Nick Delgado, aka Nicolás Delgado de la Cámara, who graduated from USC in LA after moving from Madrid. The short is about a man living alone in a post-apocalyptic future with his A.I. drone robot friend. After a devastating natural disaster, James Mann is the last man on Earth. Trapped in a bunker, his only companion is WebCam, a very loyal camera robot. James is broken, alone, and ready to give up... until WebCam receives a mysterious transmission that will change their world forever. "It's what you said it was out there... It is Not the chaos that you've always described!" Vertical Ent. has unveiled an official trailer for the post-apocalyptic thriller Last Survivors, the second feature made by up-and-coming filmmaker Drew Mylrea. A father and son, who have been living off grid for 20 years, encounter an outsider who threatens to destroy the utopia they've built. Ordered to kill any humans he encounters when venturing out, Jake defies his father by starting a forbidden relationship with a mysterious woman, Henrietta. The film stars Drew Van Acker, Alicia Silverstone, Stephen Moyer, Mark Famiglietti, and Benjamin Arthur. This has some good style and a handful of excellent shots in the trailer, but it also looks so obvious. The Shyamalan-esque twist is so clear from this trailer. But it still might be worth a watch? Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Drew Mylrea's Last Survivors, direct from...

When we first meet Jake (Drew Van Acker), he’s living out the kind of back-to-nature existence that outdoorsy types might dream of. He catches fish from a stream and swims naked in its icy depths, not a trace of another soul in sight. Eventually, he hikes through the forest back to the cozy log cabin he shares with his dad, Troy (Stephen Moyer), to prepare the day’s catch for dinner.
We learn that it’s been this way for many years, Troy and Jake sharing a tiny utopia of two, far from the ruins of a destroyed world....

Exclusive: Drew Van Acker, Alicia Silverstone and Stephen Moyer have just wrapped production on Shtf (Sh*t Hits the Fan), a sci-fi thriller directed by Drew Mylrea from a script by Josh Janowicz. Shooting just finished in Butte, Mt.
The pic is set in the aftermath of an apocalyptic event that forces people into extreme isolation. A father (Moyer) and son (Van Acker), who have been living off grid for 20 years, encounter an outsider (Silverstone) who threatens to destroy the utopia they’ve built.
Sunil Perkash, Colin Bates, Akaash Yadav and Michael Jefferson are producing. Van Acker, Wes Hull and Daniel Brandt are executive producers.
For Pretty Little Liars alum Van Acker, the movie marks a reteam with Mylrea after the actor starred in the director’s Spy Intervention last year opposite Poppy Delevingne. He also plays Aqualad on DC Universe’s Titans and is repped by ICM Partners and Luber/Roklin.

What? What did I just watch? I am now in need of an intervention, which is sort of ironic, given that that is topic of our latest review fare: Spy Intervention.
The premise is not entirely bad. Agent Corey Gage (Drew Van Acker) is a super spy, running Bond-style missions across the globe under the tutelage of dubious sociopath Smuts (Blake Anderson). Then he meets and falls in love with Pam (Poppy Delevingne). So he renounces the service, and courtesy of a little light mindwiping, settles down to a life of suburbia and track lighting while pursuing a career as a cardboard box salesman.
But then comes the intervention. Baddy Doyle Egan (Max Silvestri) is back and looking to obtain a weapon. Ok. No-one quite knows what it is. It might be a laser. Or a nuke. Or…whatever. But it’s bad. And a lot of people could get killed.

From TorontoFilm.Net, take a look at new footage from the Season 3 finale episode of "Titans", based on the DC Comics superhero team, revealing the costumed crime-fighter 'Nightwing' (Brenton Thwaites), who previously was 'Robin', the sidekick to 'Batman', streaming November 29, 2019 on DC Universe:
"...'Dick Grayson' (Thwaites) was adopted by billionaire 'Bruce Wayne', after his acrobatic parents were killed in a circus accident. When Bruce revealed he was 'Batman', he offered to train Dick to be his sidekick, 'Robin'. But Bruce 'weaponized' Dick's childhood by turning him into another means to punish the guilty. Dick left 'Gotham' for Chicago and formed the 'Titans'.
"Haunted by the killing of teammate 'Garth' (Drew Van Acker) by 'Deathstroke' (Esai Morales), Dick and the original Titans, including 'Donna Troy' (Conor Leslie), 'Dawn' (Minka Kelly) and 'Hank' (Alan Ritchson) exacted their revenge.
"But now Deathstroke has returned to challenge the Titans and the new 'Nightwing'.

Titans Season 2 Episode 4
This week Titans flashes back five years to a happier time when our heroes smiled a lot more -- right before they were introduced to Deathstroke – in an episode that feels hollow, despite that brutal ending.
Something that works well for Titans is that it’s created the sense of a shared history between Dick, Hank, Dawn, and Donna. Despite their young age, they each have seen combat, and carry the scars. Last week’s “Ghosts” especially sold that backstory, and the actors have good chemistry with one another.
But when we actually visit the past, and witness this history, it feels … off. There is a lot of telling, but not showing, when it comes to the dynamic of Titans 1.0.

The dialogue sounds like...

The original Titans were more fun.
Titans Season 2 Episode 4 took us to the past to reveal how Deathstroke dismantled what was once a very successful team of heroes.
Of course, that meant we got to meet Dick, Donna, Dawn, and Hank when they were in different stages in their lives.
It was en episode needed to help viewers fully understand why these characters are so scared of Deathstroke in the present timeline.
In most cases, exposition of this caliber is not needed, but there was so much hurt from the killer's actions that I walked away from this episode was flawlessly executed.
Many people skip these types of episodes because they take away from the action, but it was done so perfectly, and everyone must watch it.

By now, I think I’m beginning to sound like a broken record by saying how many “firsts” the live action Titans series have given us, but this show is proving to be the gift that keeps on giving. So far, season 2 has left the impression that it’ll be even more exciting than the first, and that’s saying something.
As we wait for the next episode, “Aqualad,” to check off another major box by introducing the hero of the same name, let’s discuss what awaits us further down the road. You may have recently read about how Dick Grayson will indeed transition to the Nightwing persona before this season wraps, and that’s huge because this is yet another first in live action.
Well, the fun doesn’t stop there, because Fandom of Comics have gotten their hands on video shot on the set showing Nightwing ready to battle Deathstroke.

Amazing as it may seem, the Arrowverse hasn’t touched every toy in the DC box. The CW may have license to a ton of heroes and villains, sure, but there remain enough for the programming lineup boasted by the DC Universe streaming service to keep things fresh.
If anything, Titans has done a fine job of making fans’ dreams come true. In short, it’s given us the first live action versions of Raven, Beast Boy, Starfire, and Jason Todd, with that trend continuing on into the second season which is currently unfolding. Though we’re still waiting to be introduced to Superboy, it should please you to know that Aqualad is coming to town later this week.
In a handful of photos taken from the next episode to air, which is incidentally titled “Aqualad,” we see the older members of the group joined by their Atlantean compatriot. As you browse the gallery below,...

When “Titans” returns for its second season on Friday, the DC Universe series will add a slew of characters, none bigger than Batman himself. But the version who “Game of Thrones” alum Iain Glen will portray will exclusively focus on the Bruce Wayne side of Gotham City’s most famous vigilante’s double life.
“He’s still Batman,” showrunner Greg Walker told TheWrap. “We just don’t see him with the cape and cowl running around, and the bat signal.”
Batman is Warner Bros.’ most lucrative DC Comics character, one in which the company has been fiercely protective. The character has already toplined two separate film franchises, with Robert Pattinson set to lead a third, beginning in 2021 with Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” Glen’s version of Wayne is just one of the ways that DC Comics-based TV shows are incorporating as much of Batman as they can into their worlds,...

Brenton Thwaites returns as the superhero Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Robin, who this season will face off against super-assassin Deathstroke, a.k.a. Slade Wilson, who will be played by new cast member Esai Morales. Drew Van Acker will also debut as Aqualad.
Wilson’s son Joseph, better known as the mute superhero Jericho will also be featured in the new season, played by newcomer Chella Man. Some concept art from DC Universe’s series Titans has surfaced online and teases the character designs for the new characters Aqualad and Ravager. The concept art is little blurry, but you’ll get a good idea of the style they are going with for these two characters.
Drew Van Acker will be taking on the role of Aqualad in the series, and Chelsea T. Zhang is going to be bringing Ravager to life in Titans Season 2. As you’ll see, the costumes seem to be fairly true to the comics. You can check them out in the tweet below:

When it comes to Titans‘ second season, there’s certainly a lot to look forward to. Not only will Deathstroke emerge as the new big bad, but we’ll also meet the likes of Superboy, Jericho, Ravager, Mercy Graves and Bruce Wayne in the flesh. In addition to those folks, it’s worth mentioning how a live action version of Aqualad will also be along for the ride, someone who hasn’t been discussed all that much to this point.
Those of you who are intimately familiar with Atlanteans know of how there have been multiple versions of Aqualad in pop culture. More often than not, the iteration we’re used to seeing is that of Garth, who’ll be played by Drew Van Acker on the Titans show itself. "Henry, were you dreaming?" "Dreamt I was human..." Lionsgate has debuted a trailer for an indie sci-fi thriller titled Life Like, which heading straight-to-vod this May. No surprise once you see the trailer, this looks pretty awful. It's one of those sci-fi films that tries to play with a cool concept, but really turns out to be some mushy, cheesy waste of time. Addison Timlin and Drew Van Acker star as a couple who get a lifelike robot to help them with work. At first, android Henry is quiet and hard-working. But as his AI kicks in, he "starts to anticipate the couple's needs and desires, ones they themselves cannot fully understand." What will happen next? Of course, he's going to ruin everything and kill one of them. How else would this progress. Also starring Steven Strait, James D'Arcy, and Mark Famiglietti. This is one worth skipping. Here's the first...
