‘Loki’ Episode ‘Glorious Purpose’ Nominated for Best Dramatic Presentation Amongst Strong Contenders
Last year, Marvel Studios faced criticism and low box office numbers with two out of three major projects flopping both financially and critically. However, ‘Loki’ came back strong with its second season, earning praise from fans and critics alike as one of MCU’s best recent releases.
The show not only delivered an enjoyable experience but also wrapped up Loki’s character arc well while laying the groundwork for future Multiverse Saga developments. It’s no surprise that ‘Loki’ has garnered multiple award nominations, including this year’s Hugo Awards, known for honoring outstanding science fiction and fantasy works.
Loki’s last episode, ‘Glorious Purpose,’ was nominated for Best Dramatic Presentation and will have some strong competition.

‘Loki’ Episode ‘Glorious Purpose’ Nominated for Best Dramatic Presentation Against Tough Competition
Marvel Studios faced fan backlash and record low-box office results last year, with 2 out of 3 major projects failing both when it comes to earnings and critical reception, but not all was bad. ‘Loki’ returned with the second season and the show was highly praised by fans and critics alike, being the best project that the MCU has released in recent time.
The show was not only extremely enjoyable and ended Loki’s character development on a high note, it also set up some pretty grand implications for the continuation of the Multiverse Saga. It’s no wonder then that the show has been nominated for several awards, including this year’s Hugo award. The Hugo Awards are prestigious awards given annually for the best science fiction or fantasy works and achievements. They are named after Hugo Gernsback, the founder of the pioneering science fiction magazine ‘Amazing Stories.’

This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds."
22 years ago, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" made the musical episode blueprint. Before and since then, announcements about one-off episodes of much-loved series set in musical reality have elicited eye rolls, but "Buffy" got it pretty perfect. With "Once More, With Feeling," the show not only delivered extremely catchy tunes, but also genuine emotion; instead of making its plot superfluous, episode writer and series creator Joss Whedon decided to do the exact opposite. This hour was a chance for big moments to unfold and revelations to come to light -- breakups, fights, guilty admissions, and even swooning, old Hollywood-style kisses all play out via song. If you skipped the "Buffy" musical episode, you would have no idea what was going on the next week.

There have certainly been musical moments in “Star Trek” before: Uhura sang while Spock played his lyre in “The Original Series”; Data and Picard duet to Gilbert and Sullivan in “Insurrection”; James Darren played a holographic nightclub singer on “Deep Space Nine.” But it took “Strange New Worlds,” the critically revered Paramount+ series nearing the end of its second season, to stage an entire musical episode.
In “Subspace Rhapsody,” Anson Mount’s Capt. Pike falls to his knees singing an emo song to his girlfriend (somewhat embarrassingly in front of everybody on the bridge of the Enterprise); Paul Wesley’s Kirk strikes a Donny Osmond-esque pose; Jess Bush’s Nurse Chapel is hoisted aloft on her back like Satine in “Moulin Rouge!”; Ethan Peck’s Spock croons about his heartbreak; Christina Chong’s La’an gets her own Howard Ashman-style “I want!” song; and actual Grammy-winning singer/Broadway...

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses plot — and musical! — developments in Season 2, Episode 9 of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” currently streaming on Paramount+.
Since premiering in 2022, “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” has already embraced body-swapping comedy, storybook fantasy and a crossover episode with the animated series “Star Trek: Lower Decks.” So perhaps it’s not surprising that for the penultimate episode for Season 2 of “Strange New Worlds,” executive producers Henry Alonso Myers and Akiva Goldsman would mount the first-ever full-on musical episode in “Trek” history.
Entitled “Subspace Rhapsody,” the episode opens with the crew of the Enterprise investigating one of those deliciously nerdy “Trek” inventions: a naturally occurring fold in subspace. When Ens. Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) suggests using scanning the phenomenon with music to test its properties, the signal instead causes a tear in space-time that plunges the crew into an alternate reality in which everyone starts singing out their...

A fan favorite character not seen for a while is returning to Supergirl this very month. Jeremy Jordan said goodbye to his regular role in the Girl of Steel’s show back at the end of season 3, but it was always said that he would reprise Winn Schott at some point later down the line. Well, that time has finally come, as revealed by this synopsis for an episode arriving in a couple of weeks’ time.
While Melissa Benoist returns as Kara Danvers in the final two instalments of “Crisis on Infinite Earths” next Tuesday, Supergirl season 5 concludes its winter break a few days later on January 19th with midseason premiere “The Bottle Episode.” The following Sunday marks Jordan’s big comeback in the suitably titled “Back from the Future,” and this brief synopsis tells us that Winn’s arrival comes just in time to help Supergirl foil a copycat of his father,...

Whenever an iconic character gets cast and recast over time, certain actors will naturally resonate with fans more than others – and there are some who just don’t go over well at all. In the case of Lex Luthor, I think many folks reading this will agree with me in saying that Michael Rosenbaum proved himself to be the best while on Smallville. But, to be quite honest, the guy has some serious competition now.
As you may know, Jon Cryer debuted as Lex during last night’s episode of Supergirl, that being “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” And while viewers went in skeptical due to the veteran actor’s history with the comedy genre, they were pleasantly proven wrong and ended up going absolutely nuts for the former Two and a Half Men star. Additionally, I’m not afraid to say that I, too, thought Cryer did a phenomenal job.

Lex Luthor may be back in National City, but viewers have a lot of questions about what the elusive villain has been up to.
Thankfully, Supergirl Season 4 Episode 16, airing Sunday, March 24 at 8/7c will start the process of filling in the blanks.
Here's the official press release for the episode:
"Lex Luthor Continues To Wreak Havoc – In the wake of Lex Luthor’s (guest star Jon Cryer) return, the show flashes back to what he’s been doing for the last two years and how his secret machinations and plans have affected Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Lena (Katie McGrath). Carl Seaton directed the episode written by Dana Horgan & Eric Carrasco (#416). Original airdate 3/24/2019.

With Lex being one of the biggest masterminds around, the flashback treatment is needed to give viewers some insight into what he's doing, and more importantly, who he is really working with.

To be completely honest, Supergirl‘s third season bored me more often than not. Thankfully, the producers have managed to turn it around this year, for I could imagine season 4 going down as being the series’ best when it wraps next spring.
If one element could be credited for the improvement, it’d have to be the addition of Ben Lockwood Aka Agent Liberty. Really, this guy has more depth to him than any previous big bad this show had called its own. Then again, you’re going to produce gold whenever you have someone like Smallville alum Sam Witwer bringing such great writing to life.
In addition to revealing the set of Lockwood’s new talk show, the gallery of images promoting this week’s episode, “Rather the Fallen Angel,” also shows the Maiden of Might teaming up with Manchester Black. And though one could argue the guy’s...

Anti-alien sentiment exploded overnight on Supergirl after the world found out the president is an alien.
When we first met the Deo in season 1 of Supergirl, it was a hardline anti-alien agency. In the intervening years, however, Supergirl, J'onn J'onzz and Alex Danvers have transformed it into a justice-oriented policing organization (if such a thing can exist) with aims toward tolerance and harmony between all peoples on Earth.
But according to this exclusive clip from this Sunday's episode, "Fallout," that mission just became infinitely more difficult.
Here's the episode description:
Chaos In National City — A shocking revelation causes chaos in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) sets out to capture Mercy Graves (guest star Rhona Mitra), while Alex (Chyler Leigh) takes control at the Deo. Back at CatCo, Kara decides to write an investigative story on Mercy and asks Lena (Katie McGrath) if she can interview her as...

Tonight on Once Upon a Time (ABC, 8/7c), former series regular Emilie de Ravin returns for an episode that, among other things, takes us back to Belle and Rumplestiltskin’s Storybrooke existence before laying out, in spectacular fashion, the road to the couple’s happy ending.
“Prepare to be swept away,” de Ravin advised “Rumbelle” fans during her Q&A with TVLine.

Hey, "Once Upon A Time" fans. We recently got an official press release from ABC for the upcoming "Once Upon A Time" episode 4 of this current 7th season. The press release includes a brief preview description of some of the things we can expect to see in the new episode. It sounds like we'll see some pretty interesting stuff take place in this one as Tilly tries to wake up from the curse. Victoria tries to stop that from happening. There's some intense flashback scenes and more. To start things off, they let us know that episode 4 is entitled, "Beauty." In their main description, they revealed that it will be Halloween in the new Hyperion Heights town. In light of this fact, Victoria is going to force Ivy to take Lucy out for a trick-or-treat run. So, it doesn't sound like anything too wild will go on with that particular storyline.
