Review of Yentl

Yentl (1983)
10/10
Barbra Streisand is the star, directer, producer and co-writer of this brilliant movie.
9 February 2002
Barbra Streisand plays Yentl, a Jewish woman, who studies the Torah. When Yentl wants go to Yeshiva, she is not allowed to, as it's only for men, so Yentl disguises herself as a man, so she can do the religious training, she really wants to do at Yeshiva. Everything is going great, until she falls in love with a male friend at Yeshiva.

Yentl stars the brilliant Barbra Streisand, who also directed, produced and co-wrote the movie with Jack Rosenthal. She gives a great performance as usual. As do the rest of the cast, including Amy Irving and Miriam Margolyes.

Yentl is an extremely great movie. It's heart-warming, funny and interesting. If you're a Streisand fan or just want to see a good movie, then Yentl is for you. The soundtrack is great too.
