This film is the first of Kira Muratova's films that was made after relaxation of Soviet regime. It has all features of later Muratova's films: mechanical actor scenes with sudden repeat of some phrases: dark neurotic plot: strange atmosphere with strange behaviour of characters: whodunit without denouement. Recommended to all people that have seen some Kira Muratova's movies and did like it.
