I saw the movie several times before i read the book and when I read it, it was so different from the movie that I couldn't finish it. If I had have read the book first, I'm sure the opposite thing would have happened. Just looking over the other reviews on this site, I saw the term 'chick flick' several times, and it is one, and a good one at that. The screenplay was good, it offered wonderful performances from all of the very well-known cast members, and the special effects were almost believable. This movie is on my top five list, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Also, it is best seen late at night, in the dark, and under a blanket.
