Cute, not-too-deep movie. Doesn't add too much to the genre, and certainly not as funny as, say, Prizzi's Honor or even The Freshman. But a pleasant enough diversion. De Niro (one of my favorite actors) seems to be stuck in a rut making the same movie over and over again; this one he's a funny gangster, the next time he'll be a scary gangster... Billy Crystal did a good job playing the straight man for a change; however, he never should have let them talking him into that shiny suit for the gangland meeting scene. Unfortunately, most of the good punch lines were already familiar from the trailer and commercials- usually the calling card of bad movies, but this one still had enough left over to keep me amused.
