Review of So Weird

So Weird (1999–2001)
In this case, Vintage is better

A fan of So Weird since the beginning, I found Cara DeLizia's chemistry with the rest of the cast awesome; I was moved to tears during the stories with her father. But Cara left the show and was replaced by Alexz Johnson. Now, I'm sure that Alexz is a fine person, but she is no actress. Where Cara had genuine feeling and depth, Alexz has shallow concern and her blandness in the discovery of the weird, left me feeling empty and sad ::sniff::. And Disney's lame attempt to draw in the preteen crowd with Alexz's singing ( which I might add, sounds like a cavity waiting to happen) is yet another drawback. The only reason to continue watching the show is to enjoy the rest of the cast. However, Jack's (Patrick Levis) continuing disbelief in the weird despite countless encounters with it, is REEEEAAAAALLLLYYY starting to wear thin. They need to get rid of Alexz and her listlessness, and bring back Cara. Plus, Cara serves as a much better role model for younger teens. One of the reasons I liked her was that she was beautiful, but her body type was more curvy, like the majority of the United States' female population. Not some pipe cleaner.
