I think the creators were fans of Sailor Moon. It's like so alike. Big complaint is 1. it's too short and 2. It needs alot of backstory. 3. It's got tv series traits. It's like a pilot that totally failed.
My brother received it through Columbia House's anime 2 club. Perhaps CHV was drunk too for picking it as a selection.
Still, it's anime and I've yet to find one that I absolutely abhore.
