Bad, bad, bad...

Warning: Spoilers
(A few spoilers below)

While '99's "The Omega Code" was no great feat, it was at least entertaining to a point. "Megiddo," the prequel and sequel to "Omega Code" is just a bad piece of film-making, the story (which covers a lot of ground in the first 30 mins.) is a shoddy mess of politics and pointless action sequences, with nothing that really ties them together, except towards the end, but even that doesn't make too much sense (you'll see what I mean if you see it, perish the thought, mind you).

I didn't know what was going on during a good 99% of the film's running time. It didn't really matter I guess, since no one else in the audience seemed interested at all.

Watch for some uproariously bad shootouts and some ridiculous war battles that made me want to reach for a Playstation controller (then I realized it was just a bad effects and not a video game).

Michael Biehn (whose career has hit rock bottom with this tripe) plays the brother of Michael York (a disturbing idea in it's own right) who battles York, who is trying to create a unified nation consisting of all the nations of the world. But of course anyone who saw the first one will know this is just a cover for his real plan, (which I won't say because it's too hokey). Biehn is in truly bad form, and the whole religious theme gets clouded over by the loud, pointless and horrible edited action sequences.

This was just a major mess of a movie, with hilariously bad over-acting, silly special effects and a lame story, which all make this the worst film of this year, bar none. -**** stars.
