Wow, there are some very mixed user reviews on this one.
I liked it a lot. I think this is one of Rachel Leigh Cook's best performances. Michael Rapaport and Keith David are also very good as the cop and the sheriff.
I really enjoyed the locations and the overall look of the film. The cinematography is great, very rich and colorful, yet it still evokes that desolate modern western feel better than any movie of its kind I've seen.
I got drawn in by this feel and enjoyed the movie very much. It's too bad you others didn't enjoy it as well as I did. I would definitely recommend it, a 9 out of 10 on my scale.
