..cute..

Warning: Spoilers
Exiting the movie theater, I pretty much had one word on my mind. It was.. cute. It was silly, happy, but mostly.. cute. The Lizzie McGuire movie wasn't a COMPLETELY horrible movie. I don't watch the Lizzie McGuire show regularly. If I'm flipping channels and nothing else worth watching seems to be on, I'll watch it, but I'm not a teenybopper fan or the like.

But honestly, the movie was cute; it was cute because of Lizzie, mainly, and the whole happy plot that was involved in the movie. The happy moments, especially those in the end, made it a good movie, even if such happy moments are a bit corny. Of course, the movie has its faults. The cartoon Lizzie that kept interrupting the movie wasn't exactly something I looked forward to seeing, and most of the corny moments seem to be in the animated scenes. Thankfully, the interruptions suddenly seemed to lapse of around the end of the film, making everything still fall together a little better. Another fault is the absence of Lalaine/Miranda-- there were obviously little holes in the movie because of that. And lastly, like many have mentioned, the unrealistic plot. Lizzie just happens to be the look-alike of this famous Italian pop star, and she goes around impersonating her as a blonde? ( A little bit of a spoiler ahead. ) At one point in the movie, when the fashion-director has Lizzie try on a bunch of different dresses, she notes that something along the lines that "there's something different about her." ..I think it's the American accent.

But otherwise, it was a cute, feel good movie. If you're not too much into that, wait until it comes out on video if you're just so tempted for a look. 7 out of 10 stars.
