Review of 10.5

10.5 (2004)
Much better than Chuck's "Earthquake"
4 May 2004
Now that the movie makers have gotten around to remaking the disaster movies of the 70's I am pleased that they chose to start with this one. I thought that 10.5 was so much better than the Charlton Heston "Earthquake" movie. I enjoyed the fact that 10.5 took us up and down the West Coast and did not focus entirely on downtown LA. Plus unlike it's predecessor, the actors in this version were actually very good and, the reality issues aside, the special effects were excellent. But, after living in the LA area for several years, my favorite part was watching most of Southern California fall into the ocean. Overall, with few exceptions, this was a terrific movie.
