Finding Home (2003)
10/10
The best movie that I saw this summer.
12 July 2005
After the first reel, I found myself totally immersed in the story and the lives of the people portrayed in this film. The characters were very real, almost like I had met with and talked with these people before. The story was very well crafted and had me guessing right up to the end. I also enjoyed the widescreen cinematography which captured the Maine coast better than I have ever seen it photographed in any other movies that come to mind. I am a fan of the big action "guy" movies where every thing eventually burns or blows up. But this summer many of the huge blockbusters that I paid good money to see turned out to be duds. I went to this film looking for something different, and ended up having a very enjoyable evening at the movies.
