Review of Kaal

Kaal (2005)
9/10
A nice and hot Bollywood horror flick with great songs!
11 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I liked this film, you have to watch it, understand it, and digest it before you judge it. The premise is quite old but nevertheless refreshing when told in this very Bollywood way. A bunch of friends set out for a summer adventure of a lifetime, and boy do they get it! At least the ones that survive that is. The stunning stellar cast of Vivek Oberoi, John Abraham, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol and Ajay Devgan set your eyes into hyperactive motion as the plot begins to unravel. Esha and John are a married couple who work for National Geographic and are sent to India's wildlife reservation to conduct an investigation into stories of man-eating tigers. Along the way, they bump into a pack of college kids who include Oberoi and Dutta who also are a couple. I also need to point out the opening song and dance number which shows off a cameo by the King Khan himself, Shah Rukh (he produced the film) burning up the screen with a hot new look and gyrating his hips alongside MAK to the sexy urban number entitled 'Kaal' (the song is hot, that's all you need to know at this point) a total must see! No other songs occur during the film, as it is a serious one. But make sure you catch 'Tauba, Tauba' and 'Naza Naza' with a sizzling performance by the two couples after the film. Sexy Yaar!
