Don't go by the hype and don't compare it with Hollywood and you will be fine.

Warning: Spoilers
Story: Krrish is a sequel to the super-hit Koi...Mil Gaya. The story continues where Rekha shifts to a very secluded village in India after she finds out that Krrishna, the son of Rohit from KMG, is super intelligent and has supernatural powers just like his father had. She fears that people will take advantage of Krrishna's powers and tries to hide him from the world. Then one day, falling from the trees comes our heroine from Singapore, Priyanka Chopra or Priya in the film. She is a new reporter from Star News and had come to the village to have some adventure. After saving her from falling down the tree, fixing her leg and singing a song, and also showing her his awesome 'powers', our superhero falls in love with Priya. But Priya has no such feelings for him whatsoever. When Priya returns to Singapore, she comes to know that she is about get fired from her job at Star because she was late for work, five days late!! OMG11!! To save her job, she and her friend tells their boss that they know of such a boy who can climb mountains and trees like there is no tomorrow and that the channel can make good money on it. So Priya calls Krrishna and lies to him to come to Singapore so that they can get married after meeting her mom. Listening to that our hero bursts into the song and runs to tell her grandmother Rekha. She objects and refrains Krrishna to go to Singapore. Krrishna gets mad and asks her grandmom why she is refraining him to go anywhere? Thats when she tells him the story of his father, of how he was called upon by a great scientist(Nasserudin Shah) to make a computer which could look into the future and of how he was deceived into making one. Well then what, the next morning Rekha suddenly agrees and allows Krrishna to go to Singapore and get his love but only on one condition, that he would hide his powers and talent from the world. That forces Krrishna to become Krrish, our masked superhero, when he has to save the people trapped inside a burning circus.

The story and screenplay shaped up well. But its nothing more than average. Its a very simple story. Though i wish they had concentrated on the love story a little less and more on the actual story. Love story are for timepass in action movies, especially in superhero movies.

Action:

After watching this movie, i was left wondering. What the HELL was there so much hype for?? Well alright, if u compare to Hollywood then we are still way behind them. But for Bollywood standards it was a very commendable job. Though the action was pretty lame and stupid most of the times, there were a few well done scenes. And i must applaud Hrithik to perform such scenes himself. Jumping from buildings to buildings...and well jumping all the fuking time, he sure was a winner there. The action, apart from being lame, was repetitive. Hrithik kept jumping and jumping and flying in a strange Superman kind of way got boring really fast. They could have put some more variety into it. The special effects were good too. It was upto the international standards.

Acting: Rekha's performance was brilliant as usual. The mother-son combo of her and Hrithik really works very well. Hrithik was brilliant. But he really sucks in lovey-dovey scenes. And doing all the stunts himself, bravo man! Priyanka was good too. Played her part very nicely. Naseerudin Shah was awesome too as the wanna-be god....and wanna-be news reporter Yup, he would suddenly turn into a news reporter, it was hilarious.

Music: Average. Nothing compared to a much better soundtrack of KMG. Only 'Koi Tumsa Nahi' was above average.

Bottomline: Don't keep great expectations from the film. And especially from the action as i did. The film is very watchable and actually very good too. But please don't go by the hype, then its a total disappointment. And also comparing it to Hollywood superhero movies is totally unfair because Hindi movies do not have that kind of a budget and its for the first time someone in Bollywood has attempted this. More like an experiment. So all in all, a very nice sequel to a already successful movie. Ladies and gentlemen, India's first Superhero!
