Mobile Fighter G Gundam (1994–1995)
10/10
One of the best and underrated series around! A different side of Gundam

Warning: Spoilers
Well I first saw this series on cartoon network, actually I saw it when the last few episodes were airing. The show just sucked me right in with it's vibrant colors and very diverse characters. The setting is an alternate universe where none of the wars or battles that have to do with the original gundam take place. Mankind has developed a solution to regular war by developing the Gundam fight! Every nation has a representative that pilots his own gundam, they all fight until one rep. is left to rule the colonies for a number of years. The colonies were made after earth became to filthy for the major nations to live so each nation built a colony and set off for space. Now onto the story. We are first introduced to the show by an announcer. He really hypes up each episode and saying in every preview "everyone it's the moment you've been waiting for". He really adds the spice this series needs. We are then introduced to the main character Domon Kasshu. This character is rare but his personality is seen sometimes but rarely in other anime. He isn't the self confident man who has a dream. He's always angry and hiding his feelings. After a terrible accident. Domon's brother sided with His fathers newest invention. The Devil gundam. This gundam was meant to heal earth by regenerating the plant life, ozone layer and millions of other problems. But the computer brain inside the gundam malfunctioned and caused the gundam to turn evil. I don't want to give everything away but heres a few more things to get you more familiarized with the show. Throughout the show all sorts of amazing characters are shown with different goals and opinions. A real standout is the music. This show makes you want the soundtrack really bad. I think using an orchestra always drives the show. Some American companies take the show and add bad rock music, or just music that has no meaning accept to fill in the background music. The animation varies from really good to recycled. That doesn't mean it's bad but recycled is there to save tons of money, after all people don't have an infinite budget on a show. The show doesn't seem like 49 episodes since it really kicks off right when the 1st episode starts. The voice acting in Japanese is superb. As always the English version overdoes it and just really makes the characters over the top and annoying. I could go on and on about the series and my own opinion but I think it would become a book. So now that the series is in box sets. {The series is in two very cheap box sets} Please check it out. Weather you like gundam or not this show will leave a mark and of course tons of re-watching. G-Gundam will always be a masterpiece. And ignore people who want a perfect show with all the best characters and personalities. People if you want a perfect show make it yourself. Everyone the amazing animators work their a##'# off in Japan. They know what kind of show their making and how they want to get their personal feelings through different types of characters and events. So lighten up everyone. Thanks for reading this and definitely check this series out!
