Review of Scoop

Scoop (2006)
7/10
good time and fun for ninety minutes
12 October 2006
"Scoop" is definitely amusing, never tiresome and overall it evokes a lot of laughs. The movie confirms Woodi Allen's love for London life and for Scarlett Johansonn (Match Point) and shows entertainment as well as a taut thriller plot. It's not one of the Allen's strongest comedies ever but the result is a brilliant story with doses of great humor. Hugh Jackmn is a pleasant surprise, whereas Scarlett Johansonn, in spite of the young age, is certainly one of the most talented actresses in the world - besides her being very pretty. The director and co-star is simply great. Like in Match Point this finale is original (this time also funny).
