I just finished watching this on the internet.The trailer gives the impression that this film is a historical drama involving some elusive secret that many very famous personages past and present had discovered and used to create extraordinary larger-than-life lives for themselves.That is in fact what this film is about but it is a documentary with brief dramatizations illustrating the points and lessons of the speakers.
The film has an amazing message and I thought it was important enough for me to purchase the DVD after I finished viewing it.But be warned that this is more of a documentary and less of a dramatic presentation.Sort of a inspirational self-help metaphysical book presented as a narrative documentary film.
Update: Well, it looks like time has confirmed my prediction.The book version of The Secret is a national bestseller and the creators of the film have appeared on major talk shows.But the real surprise is that it seems every one in ten people among my friends and associates discuss The Secret and ask me have I heard of it?!I think it is safe to say that the movement has begun!--Derek Williams 2/28/07
