Casino Royale (2006)
8/10
A Very good first Bond outing for Daniel Craig
30 November 2006
As a Bond fan I was both sceptical and excited about watching Casino Royale. Sceptical you may ask? Well as a BIG Roger fan I've always enjoyed the humorous side of Bond. First and foremost though Daniel Craig is really good in his first outing. In my opinion he has the right balance between aggression and humour. The film opens at a frantic pace and the opening action is superb. I also really enjoyed the way the plot unfolded and all is explained at the end. My only gripe with this movie is the lack of a real bad guy.

Daniel Craig delivers the essential Bond aura that was sadly lacking from Dalton and Brosnan. I recommend watching this movie and feel that the legend that is James Bond is in safe hands.
