Virus (1980) is about a military sponsored virus that is turned loose on the world killing most of the people except for a small band of researchers in the Antarctic and the crew of a British sub. They make the best of a bad situation as the try and survive to keep the human race going. They are thrown some curves as the military left their nukes armed and ready to launch so they need to sacrifice some people to go back to the White House and turn off the automated nuke launcher. There are a couple of versions out there and I must have gotten the American release because it had some continuity problems. Amazing how everyone in the world speaks English. Not very accurate or realistic by today's standards, but a good nostalgic 70s/80s disaster film.
