I felt inspired by the character, Charlie Kate, in this movie. Perhaps it's because I have a deep respect for midwives and practical knowledge of herbs and other remedies outside of the medical profession. As I watched Charms for the Easy Life I grew to anticipate Charlie's words of wisdom and blunt criticism. Even in her wrath she manages to show compassion in a rather amusing way. The relationship she has with her daughter and granddaughter is also impressive. Even with their differences they still have a deep love for one another. Some elements of the story may seem predictable, but I enjoyed every moment of the movie and find myself thinking of it's warmth and charm.
