It's hard to comment on this show honestly because it seems jammed into the sitcom format. While Rob Corddry and Ricky Blitt have a lot of comedy cred behind them, it seems that this show just doesn't make it. 'The Winner' is indeed a lot like 'Get a Life,' but regardless of that the show just doesn't seem to work. The laugh track is on all the freaking time and all of the plots seem very watered down. This show could be a laugh riot or even more risqué than Family Guy, but all and all it's weak and completely unrealistic. Maybe if it was filmed instead of studio-bound and missing the annoying and distracting laugh track it could work. Instead, it's just filler.
Fox is good to show it twice a night to gain some audience, but it was botched in the execution before this. A real shame.
