Yudh is the story of Inspector Vikram/Vicky (Jackie Shroff) who is given a van robbery case to solve within one month. However, he is successful in solving the case by arresting Moinuddin Khan (Shatrughan Sinha) and have his case proved guilty in court by his lawyer friend Avinash Rathod (Anil Kapoor). Later on, however, it was proved that Moinuddin Khan is innocent. Inspector Vikram's mother suspect Chinoy who is a very successful business man, but his old name is Gama Matten and he try to hide his identity by changing his name to Gama Matten. The suspect came up and Vikram got to know from his mother that he has got two step brothers whom Gama Matten have kidnapped twenty six years ago. Later on it was revealed that Avinash and the underworld don Junior (both Anil Kapoor) was Vikram's brothers. However Vikram manage to arrest Gama Matten and rescue one of his brothers but unfortunately Junior was killed by Gama Matten.
