Great Movie - Nellie Blye was a true feminine pioneer.

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the best movies I have seen. It is about a young female reporter trying to make her way into a world of male reporters. Also, Nellie was very brave getting her stories and seeking out the truth - sort of an avant-gard predecessor of Indiana Jones, only a real-life hero (heroine). Little did I know, growing up in southwestern Pennsylvania, why many people spoke of "Nellie Blye". One would hear comments like: "Who do you think you are - Nellie Blye?" or "She's acting like a regular Nellie Blye". Now I know why people spoke of her like that.

I think this movie should be available and shown much more. I used to show it in my classroom when I knew I would be absent, even though I taught math. Nellie uncovered many stories and risked her life getting them. Nellie was instrumental in uncovering nasty factory conditions, and unacceptable practices in asylums as they were termed in those days. This is a movie which will encourage youngsters of either gender to follow their dreams and aspirations; not to be discouraged easily; and to seek to become what they really want to do.
