Going to Sleep is Way Better Than Watching This !
5 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
(Amitabh Bachchan) is an icon, a movie legend, and one of my favorites. So my rule is: whatever the movie he made, I would watch it. But I find myself hoping that this rule may get its exceptions, since not ALL of his works, especially lately, is worth watching!

After some retirement from cinema, his fans longed for watching him in one of his great movies again. But the result was devastating. It was flop after another, and such an embarrassment for the Big B, and all of his audience.

At the start of 2000, I rented (Bade Miyan Chote Miyan) after watching (Mrityudaata), for a lot of reasons; one of them is to forget all about (Mrityudaata)! I found it on 2 VHS tapes, (Bachchan) was on the poster as a policeman, it had a commercial Arabic title stands for (The Foxes), so I promised myself "What an evening I'd have", and what a fool I was!

They want the guaranteed formula, so let's remake the American hit (Bad Boys) after 3 years of its release. They took nearly every inch of it, however ridiculously. Maybe the only difference was that in the original (Will Smith) ran on the street shirtless, but in here (Bachchan) ran in the street with his shirt on! After that particular scene, you'd watch another movie that you've watched before hundreds of times. So (Bade Miyan Chote Miyan) gives you the chance to watch nearly 2 previous movies for a second time!

Moreover, I couldn't stand the matter of 750 numbers, the non-comic comedy, and the dead pace for an action. But who said that this one is an action? It's a huge brainless musical comedy, with a thin plot of cops and robbers. However, the whole thing was too heavy, and totally uninteresting.

(Bade Miyan Chote Miyan) was unbearably super boring, a very shocking come back for (Bachchan), and far from being Great Entertainer, or even an Entertainer!

Going to sleep is of course better. Though if you watch it.. I'm pretty sure, you'll sleep in front of it easily, but with powerful provocation.

PS: At the finale number, while his singing, (Amitabh)'s head separates from his body, then comes back again.. How BRUTAL!
