This film turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The first half is corny as it is a virtual repeat of Barjatya's own 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun..!' But the second half is affecting with some fine understated performances. The film generally avoids heavy-handed melodrama and the buffoonery evident in films like 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' is greatly toned down. The songs are alright with one standout number "Mujhe Haq Hai". Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao have good chemistry together with Seema Biswas chipping in with a fine performance. Quite watchable despite the long first half.
