I think this is probably my favorite squarepants, and I've seen quite a few of the episodes. The fact that it's a musical only adds to its quality, despite the musical numbers being mostly forgettable. It stands out more as a TV movie because of this, and also thanks to the plot, which is more thematic and narrative.
I didn't expect to like it because I don't like Atlantis being used in sci-fi/fantasy, but here it's used as a framework for a GREAT story! Spoofing Charlie and the Chocolate factory, the friends fall off in their foibles, with common fantasies: having unlimited money or all the art you could take in. It wasn't nonstop humor, but it was nonstop entertainment, and the to-dos with the bubble are probably the funniest cartoon moments I can think of, I laughed so hard I almost had to leave the room.
