These episodes were horrible. I don't know who wrote this garbage but, whoever did should be fired from the SpongeBob writing staff. In Whale of a Birthday, Pearl is having her sixteenth Birthday. But, Mr. Krabs has been cheap on all her other past Birthdays. Pearl tells him to not be this year in order for her to finally impress her friends. Mr.Krabs sends SponeBob to spy on Pearl at the mall to see what she wants for her birthday. The stupid thing about that was that right after SpongeBob buys one of the things that she wants, Pearl finds another thing that she wants and SpongeBob thinks that he bought the wrong present. And as soon as Pearl finds all the other things that she wants for her birthday, SpongeBob keeps on thinking that he still bought the wrong present over, and over again. In Karate Island, receives a video tape in the mail saying that he won an all expense paid to Karate Island. He goes to Karate Island and takes Sandy with him. When they arrive they there, they meet Master Udon. SpongeBob turns to be good at karate and he rubs it all in Sandy's face. The whole turns out to be a scam to buy real estate. Master Udon forbids SpongeBob to leave until he signs a contract to buy a condo and it's all up to Sandy to save him. I hated both of these episodes. The plots were pointless and the humor was crappy. Season 4 is really disappointing. And so are seasons 5-7 Seasons 1-3 were way better. This Show is awful now. The new episodes are disappointingly not well thought out.
