Enlightening

This is the feature-length "making of" documentary on the DVD of Silent Hill(the movie, from 2006). It consists of interviews, behind the scenes footage and clips of the film. This goes through every aspect of the production, and is quite thorough and detailed. Everyone explains stuff well, and it genuinely is interesting to hear how they did the various effects and such. You get the usual fun little anecdotes, and the enthusiasm of those involved in putting the thing together is pleasant to witness. Yes, there is a bit of love-fest going on, everyone is absolutely wonderful to work with, and this is promotional at times, but the majority of this is great. The running time of 48 minutes seems to fly right by. This has a nice pace, and it is never boring. It is edited well, and the material is all of high quality(is it just me, or did the camera seem to focus on the women's lovelies, when covering the nurses? They're not really meant to be attractive, y'know, they're supposed to be disturbing). There is unnerving content in this, and it spoils a lot of what happens in the picture(and the games). I recommend this to anyone who wants to know more about the subject. 7/10
