Simple & Sweet...
11 December 2010
Habib Faisal's 'Do Dooni Chaar' is a Simple & Sweet film, that makes you feel more confident once it's done. The writing, at places, is very tight, and the direction is as simple as morning tea. And the performances, are very competent.

'Do Dooni Chaar' tells the story of a middle-class family, who try to coup up with the 'expensive needs' of life, which sadly they cannot afford. Their journey however takes a dramatic turn, when they decide to buy a first-class car.

Habib Faisal's writing is tight at most places. But it surely falters in the final 20-minutes, the pace goes down. The culmination also could've been much better. The dialogue are wonderful at times. Habib Faisal's direction is as simple as it can be.

Performance-Wise: Rishi Kapoor is competent, once again. The Veteran plays the head of the family with natural ease. Neetu Kapoor, seen on the screen after a long hiatus, is good to watch. Archit Krishna and Aditi Vasudev excel as well. Others lend able support.

On the whole, apart from a dull climax, this shoe-bite budgeted flick has some strong merits, that will surely entertain you.
